I don’t disagree with that, I just think we can draw levels in what he was able to doSaadOffTheDeck wrote:Ggg isn't a better boxer than Trinidad by any significant margin. Conversely, GGG isn't as big a favorite against Tito as people are making out either. Golovkin has never faced anyone with that kind of power and while he had poor foot movement he was a very technical puncher. He also hit harder than Hopkins at Middleweight. Ask Joppy.
I’m on board with you about Hopkins though. He’s favoured in this match up but it’s not foregone

I'd consider Tito the more accomplished fighter.Ossyrules wrote:I don’t disagree with that, I just think we can draw levels in what he was able to doSaadOffTheDeck wrote:Ggg isn't a better boxer than Trinidad by any significant margin. Tito wasn't some crude slugger.Ossyrules wrote:

Just off the names he has wins over you'd have to.SaadOffTheDeck wrote: I'd consider Tito the more accomplished fighter.
Pernell Whitaker, Fernando Vargas, De La Hoya (controversial though it was), Hector Camacho.
Even though Pea and Camacho weren't in their primes those are still bigger wins than most anything on GGG's record. GGG still has time to catch up possibly, but he'd need at least 2 or 3 marquee wins.

Somehow discussion of who would win in a ring switched to resume comparison ...
Re: 'Tito' Trinidad vs. 'GGG' Golovkin - Who wins?
Because people had already answered the question of who wins the fight so the conversation moved forward. The poll is pretty damn decisive I'd say about who people think would win.boxing_rocks wrote:Somehow discussion of who would win in a ring switched to resume comparison ...
