Not sure why supremos post would draw any particular ire?

I like Bunce. Met him a few times and he's always seemed an affable bloke. I like enthusiasm in sports journalism. Mark Lawrenson gets paid to watch football. He sounds like he wants to top himself. Bunce loves boxing and you can tell.

Proper nawty!
Re: Boycott Bunces Book
I'm 50-50 on him , sometimes i watch him with interest , and even find him knoladgeable and interesting ,, then another time i think for god sake shut your screaming banshee mouth will ya , on them occasions i use the remote and say fook off ...
Regards books , i don't find him interesting enough that i would even contemplate buying a book he wrote .. But he is what he is , a boxing fan who has promoted himself to get a good job , earning a decent living talking , or screaming about a sport he obviously loves , for that good on him ..

A few hilarious ideas come to mind, but I’m too afraid to post them in case Buncey starts tweeting about mejamamb wrote:what is he going to do with details

think someone might be after your details soon mate
Re: Boycott Bunces Book
Why doesn’t he just PM them if he wants to debate what they have said. Needs to be a bit careful playing the bully.
Personally I like bunce as a presenter, I like the passion. What I don’t like is his constant “dissing” of the posters on the boxing forums because he disagrees with their opinions a lot of which are completely valid. There are many many well informed hardcore enthusiasts on here particularly.

I get why he's upset with Bricks, but he should be big enough to take it on the chin. Ok Supremo said he wasn't a fan of his but was polite and reasonable enough.jamamb wrote:what is he going to do with details

Boxing Knockout said some nice stuff, I guess the Ugandan hooker thing got to him.
But seriously what sort of gangster does he think he is asking for details!!
He looks stupid now for not doing anything and if he does do something the trail leads straight to him!

Yeah I think he'd be laughed out of court if he went that route so im not sure what he is implying he is going to do with the details. I'm not a solicitor though so I don't know for sure.
I don't think I'd be worried about taking a hiding if I was any of the posters mentioned.
Re: Boycott Bunces Book
Seems more like a threat of doxing or something to me, not that he'd be able to do much to people by "exposing" they said mean things about him on the internet. Probably just posturing but totally out of order.TheLeprechaun wrote:Coco wrote:I get why he's upset with Bricks, but he should be big enough to take it on the chin. Re: Boycott Bunces Book
Chill out mate, if you get this intense posting in a forum you’re no doing yourself any good. Some like bounce, some don’t - who really gives a fornicate either wayBricks wrote:if its swearing and foul language you object to, you cant have enjoyed attending too many boxing shows the last 30-40 years. I first attended small bills courtesy of my dad in the early 1980s..... everything from the York hall, the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley and even Bowlers nightclub Windsor back in 1987 when Barry Michael lost his world title.....there has usually been lots of profanity and drunkenness .the Albert Hall notwithstanding.....british boxing has hardly ever been some German like bastion of dinner jackets and fans sitting quietly to applaud a jab over dinner........its always been raucous going back to our Enery....I attended Bruno_Witherspoon as a youngster forced to attend in the wee hours by my dad and I vividly recall a fan shouting out repeatedly "kill the black bbastard Frank"....and the same fan being in drunken despair when Frank got knocked out............in a sense Bunce is the beacon of all that you dislike in your post above.....he was once someone who spoke and wrote about boxing quietly and seriously.....I mean look at him on Boxing First or Audley era BBC.......it was only after he got the setanta gigs that the loudmouth, screaming hysterical and abusive fat man in an exploding suit with all the banalities u evidently dislike...was born ..........its irrelevant how many copies of the book he sells....that's not the point.....the point which you are missing as you are blinded by a sense of authors must stick together .....is that Bunce, rather than go down the traditional manner of selling a book, has chosen to be loud and vulgar and market his book as the authoritative british boxing bible mainly as its written by him.....and as one BIG F YOU to all the forum posters and online fans who quote "attend boxing matches in their thousands and write up fight reports for websites" but "don't know what theyre talking about"and Im the big daddy Bunce the bert sugar of the british boxing scene and this book is proof of that...that's how the book is being marketed and that's evidently his motivation for writing it , its not a financial thing its a labour of ego.....his whole raison d'etre behind writing the book appears to be that he is uniquely qualified to comment on the british fight scene since the 1970s.......and that forum posters/online writers don't know anythingdalcumly wrote:It's not just the biased and outrageous opinions. It's the language. Over the last few weeks I've read posts about drug taking, slagging off ex-wives, perverted sex, and persistent swearing.
I can swear like the rest of them, we all can, the difference is we choose not to. I don't really want to read about ' going down the pub on Saturday night for some 'Charlie' and my 'fat ex ' leaving the kids with me and I certainly don't want to read what Bunce or anyone else did with prostitutes. That's my point.
You know Bunce isn't going to get rich with this book. It is a book for general boxing fans, and there's not many about. What we have now is 'fans of boxers' so a book on Joshua or McGuigan or Froch will outsell Bunce's type of book, because they will be bought by fans AND the general boxing public. He'll be very lucky to sell 1,000 copies and most have already been discounted. I'll buy it though, and I'm sure I'll form an opinion when I've finished.
Re: Boycott Bunces Book
bunce obviously cares
