Easy night for AJ, Parker is bang average, he's shown that since he's stepped up a bit.

if Parker can stay well out the way for 6-8 rounds I think he can stop josh late, or if he treats it like a 4 round fight and steams in to aj and try's to catch him cold early, anything else and he gets ko'd.

I can't see it. I'm not saying Parker has no back-foot game but he's hardly elusive is he?

Besides, it's Anthony Joshua he's got to keep away from. He's not exactly Boris Karloff's (The) Mummy is he?

True it hasn't been made yet. Last I read team Parker agreed verbally to a 60/40 split in AJ's favor, but not sure if they will go for it.

It makes me laugh that Hearn was once again caught, denying that they had any negotiations or made any offer. Higgens claimed they lowballed a 20% offer. Now obviously they have been negotiating, so it is very believable they did make that offer. Decent fight if it gets made. It would be nice to see AJ fight out of his own country for once though.

Here is another "funny" fact. Hearn first made Wilder the offer to fight Whyte, and if he did he would get AJ next. Well documented.
Now, he claims (boxingnews24) he never said that.

“You can’t say Dillian Whyte is irrelevant, and he’s this and that,” said Hearn. “He’s No.1 in the WBC, so he is relevant, and he will be his mandatory soon. So, he’s going to have to fight him sooner or later. It was never, ‘You have to beat Dillian Whyte to get to Anthony Joshua.’ No problem. If you don’t want to fight Dillian Whyte, no problem,” said Hearn. ”We just thought it was a great idea, and it was a lot of money for you. If you don’t fancy the idea of fighting Dillian Whyte, don’t worry about it. We can talk about the Anthony Joshua fight instead,” said Hearn.

Hearn is getting just as bad as Arum with his lying.

I do think it is a decent fight, but one AJ should win without question. Parker has a pretty good chin, but not ready for AJ just yet. I would prefer AJ vs Povetkin or Ortiz next. As far as AJ boxing out of his own country, some may think it is crazy because of his popularity and big money he makes there, but he will eventually have to at least come to the US (Vegas) to help his world-wide popularity. He could become more popular than Wilder in the U.S., which wouldn't take a great deal of effort.

A decision is unlikely because AJ will end it.. But even more unlikely is a decision for Parker.. He got outboxed by Takam and Ruiz.. He's not going to outbox somebody as slick as Joshua in 10,000 years.. Joshua will jab him up and rip him with right hand counter shots.. followed by combinations.. He'll start chasing Parker around the ring about round 8 ... and surely get him gone by the 10th.

It will look something like the Whyte fight, but he's new and improved since then.

Parker has a lot of material to work on from the Takam and Ruiz fights -- but I'm not seeing improvements you'd expect from a bright young guy.

He's not scheduled till March.
That takes him out till May June at least, he squeezes 1 before the years out.

That 2 fights a year.
The target is March, July, December

To fight wilder and Parker to get all belts and I suspect a wba mandatory possibly
We are on the same team here, I would prefer 3 fights but I don't think we'll get them unless at least 1 maybe 2 are quick blow outs or take little out of Joshua.
I just watched Eddie Hearn on social media tell us he's hoping to get 16 dates in the States and that's multiple boxers involved not just Joshua, he knows he may not get all of them but if he got a decent chunk and 1 or 2 of them were Heavyweight Lite for Joshua yes 3 in a year maybe possible.
Still don't think we will see Joshua v Wilder in 2017, I'm hoping we don't because I really believe we can juice this fight up and make it a truly big memorable Heavyweight unification extravaganza in early 2019.

Maybe have Joshua in March or April.
Then if you can squeeze him in 1 during the summer months in the UK, always difficult during the summer because every Tom Dick and Harry is on holiday ... but I watched Joshua in a pub in London against Takam and people were lined up outside watching it through the windows for god sake that's how popular Joshua is out there.
Then put Joshua and Wilder and the same card against different opponents in either the UK or the U.S later in the year leading up to an early 2019 unification.
I'm open to all ideas but at this point that's the scenario that looks most sensible.

There is no reason that AJ v Wilder should not be made immediately. It is THE fight. It would be huge in the UK and (no matter the result) the HW div would be vaulted back to the forefront of boxing..

There is absolutely no excuse for it not happening in 2018, at least. There is no bigger fight. Everyone in the world knows that they are THE fight.

The only thing that could undermine it is if one of them lose. Why risk that now? This fight can be built up in the USA too because of what AJ did in the Wlad fight and what Wilder just did to Stiverne, no matter how hapless the tub of pudding was.

AJ vs Parker looking unlikely for Parker's next fight according to this article from today -

"We will come to England and fight AJ, but 40 per cent is the bottom line and I can give my word now, not one per cent less."

Whyte almost had AJ but lacked the ability to finish AJ ... The only advantage AJ has is his reach to be honest.
You're not trying to be honest... You're looking for every partisan reason you can come up with to justify your biased pick.

Parker hasn't been knocking top fighters out... He hasn't been knocking them down... He hasn't been getting rid of them... He's been getting biased decisions in New Zealand.. Povertkin and Joshua got Takam out and put him down.. Hughie Fury jumped 40 slots to fight Parker.. He hasn't beaten anybody, and he sure as Hell isn't a real good boxer.. Ruiz hasn't faced anyone that good.. He scored more solid punches than Parker.

Whyte nailed Joshua with a hard left hook, and DIDN'T shake him up, put him down, make him grab, or make him retreat.. Joshua came right back and took control.. I don't see how anyone can view that as a negative because of the way Joshua took Whyte out.. He murdered him.

Wladimir decked Joshua and had him hurt.. Klitschko tried every trick in the book to finish him off and he couldn't nail him with another telling shot -- although he ripped him pretty good.. Joshua got out of the round and the next round and turned the fight around in his direction.. He showed a veteran's poise and didn't turn a hair when he was in imminent danger.. That shouldn't be viewed as a negative because almost every ATG fighter is going to be on the verge of defeat at some point in his career.. How he responds is how you measure his resourcefulness.
Are there 2 Anthony Joshuas? I think he did well to ride the storm against Klitschko and turn the fight around. Credit to him for that. I don't see the nailed on atg that you seem to see though, far from it.

Anthony Joshua is already the #1 Heavyweight of all time in Kalan's opinion. You can't even argue with that sort of nonsense.

$5m still equates to 20% of the purse split, assuming AJ also receives his typical $20m payday.

If Team Parker are asking for 30%, then they want a guarantee of $7.5m, which is astonishing considering that Joseph's biggest payday was the $1.4m (USD) he received to fight Hughie Fury. He's asking for 5.5 times his career-best purse. :o

The Kiwi’s financial contribution towards a potential Joshua-Parker event would be negligible and I’m not sure that the WBO title is worth that much.

Anthony Joshua’s purse against Pulev was reportedly $20m and there is only so much revenue that he can generate, so by conceding to awarding 30% to Parker, would inevitably result in the Brit taking a pay cut.

From a selfish fan perspective, I would like to see Anthony face Joseph, but from a commercial standpoint, I would abandon negotiations with Team Parker and give them an ultimatum… either take the fight or don’t.

Eddie Hearn might even prefer to see the winner of the Bellew-Haye bout take Parker’s title and then set-up an even bigger title unification event instead. UK fight fans would prefer to see a contest between Joshua-Haye than Joshua=Parker.
