You know if I was Bellew i would call Furys bluff. Say to Fury be ready in 4 weeks and ill fight you as a replacement. See what reaction he gets from Fury then.

I hope Bellew doesn’t hang around waiting for Haye next year and not fightingin between but I also hope the ppv is now scrapped as they are not going to get a decent opponent- so free view it should be

Brittle Body Haye strikes again.

Tony Bellew should just move on unless he intends for the Haye rematch to be his last fight altogether or something which is possible. It's liable to take another year before Haye is "healthy" again.

Yeah I know what he said, but this is Haye we're talking about. He'll sprain his vagina another couple more times.

Bellew should fight Fury in May. It would probably be a bigger pay day, and Fury is likely to turn up. I can't see Haye getting through another camp without injury. I remember seeing an interview a few years ago with Wilder who said that he hoped Haye retired because he was getting too much.

Controversial wrote: 20 Nov 2017, 12:40 Haye has since come out and revealed how he sustained the injury to his biceps which forced him out of the contest.

"I am devastated to announce my much-anticipated rematch against Tony Bellew has been postponed until March 24 or May 5, subject to scheduling," said Haye. "Despite the recent injury rumours, I was in perfect condition with an incredibly strong training camp, currently weighing lighter than I have for more than five years, I couldn’t wait to get back in the ring. I was ready to rewrite the ending of the Haye Bellew saga.

"Unfortunately, after a freak accident during a stair conditioning session, which I’ve done with no incident hundreds of times, I lost my footing, slipped, so instinctively grabbed the bannister to stop myself toppling down the stairwell, in doing so I somehow managed to damage my bicep in the process. This afternoon I underwent a procedure to repair it, this was pretty straightforward and my doctor and physiotherapist have no doubt that not only will I make a full recovery but will be able to be back in the gym to start my arm rehabilitation in two weeks.

"I would like to apologise to Tony, his family and his training team, as well as all our fans who have been left disappointed. I’ve been solely focussed on this fight and it’s extremely frustrating that I couldn’t finish 2017 with just my ring performance doing the talking. I look forward to getting back to training and into the ring in early 2018 with excitement and determination."
I appreciate that freak incidents can cause injuries but if you are tearing a bicep grabbing hold of a bannister then it's a clear sign your body is very fragile. Haye must be feeling dreadful about it to be fair.

If Fury is ready for a fight in May. There is absolutely no hope of it being Bellew. Fury wants a warm up fight then AJ in Wembley in the Summer.

You gotta feel for Bellew, just put himself through training camp, along with the expenses and it's all for nothing.
He can wait 6 months and the same might happen again. Esp at this stage of his career Bellew will be looking to make enough money to secure his future and you don't get paid nothing sitting around.
Hopefully Eddie can sort something else out, I'm sure the title holders would be happy to take the scouser on as a softer option, and the Parker fight is winnable for him.

Fury?
No way, too soon.
This is where Parker steps in, makes a good payday and increases his UK profile.
Now Bellew Parker title fight I'm sure you lot would be happy with?

Perfect fight for Parker now.

Raises his profile as mentioned above, Bellew gets a final payday and then it’s all set for Joshua - Parker after. If Parker does a number on Bellew then it will help him with negotiations too with Joshua I suspect.

Fury? Be amazed if Bellew even replies to Fury’s call out. He plays up his wild man image, the man who’ll fight anything and anyone in or out the ring and all that jazz but I suspect he wants nothing at all to do with Fury!

I’d actually fancy Bellew against Parker if he can keep some distance at first and get a bit of confidence.

Bellew is no Mayweather but he’s got good technique and a decent chin.

It’s a great fight and whatever happens Eddie, Bellew and AJ do well out of it.

I hate myself for it but I’d love to see Haye come back and actually fight and do Bellew to finish on a positive but even I know I’m kidding myself. He’s stealing a living by raising his profile without actually fighting. Bit gutting to keep getting sucked in by the shadow of his former self in the ring.

I'm sure Eddie will have some sort of contingency in place like he did with Joshua/Pulev especially considering its Haye he's dealing with. whether it would be PPV worthy I doubt it
