Manuel Charr vs Alexander Ustinov

Post by handsofstone »

Just seen this on allegedly schedule for this Saturday, 2 slow wide open Heavyweights, could be a stinker but could be fun, I remember expecting Charr/Leapai to be boring and it turned out to be a decent scrap and Ustinov has power so fingers crossed

Not the most tantalising match up we've ever had but fvck it, there's nothing else on

I will more than likely be a snoozefest but I'll give it a watch.
I reckon Ustinov takes this...

Jesus, I've just realised that this is for the WBA Heavyweight Title. :brick:

These are horrid rankings. Most on the list can't fight, or don't fight, or both.

The real sad thing is I'd favor him over either of these guys.

Fres Oquendo shouldn't be ranked three, but to his credit he did run Ruslan Chagaev very very close and at the time I would say Chagaev was perhaps top 15.

Either that or he has some incriminating pictures of Gilberto Mendoza.

Its called sitting on a ranking, to be fair to him he has been a bit shafted also by the WBA and their promises.... I don't think he has been the guilty party when it comes to pull outs, suspensions.

I don't blame him for not fighting, he has a winnable world title fight coming up and he could well lose a tune up.

Got a few quid on a Ustinov knockout.

Hopefully he gets rid of Charr quick because if not I’d favour Charr in the later rounds.

Actually a good fight if you ignore the WBA element.

Will be a better fight than the Whyte-Helenius one I had to sit through last month.

Think he will be too awkward for Charr

Ustinov has less than 1 round in 2 years. He's 41 years old and Chart is his second best opponent.
I feel Ustinov wins but it's not as easy as most are thinking

Charr is stationary as it gets, been starched a few times, and I read somewhere that he has artificial hips now because he was involved in a shooting
