Miljas is very crude at the moment. Too crude for his experience. He needs more sparring and more fights. I would fight him much more often like he wants to do... He says he wants to fight a lot more if it were up to him... Fight him like Tyson fought when he turned pro. Fight him every 2 or 3 weeks because he blowing these guys over anyway so why stall around?? And he'll only get better and develop sharper skills the more fights he has. He's got power, speed, and reflexes, but he's crude.

If you're sparring a lot and taking punches in sparring because you're sparring much better opponents then you're fighting -- do you get paid for fighting or sparring? So line up more fights because that's where the money is.. In the gym you need to practice your stance, footwork, and jab for hours and hours.. You don't hit the mitts for 2 or 3 rounds but for 10 rounds.. You spar with everyone you can for as many rounds as you possibly can and take it easy on your sparmates so they'll keep showing up.. Don't beat them up a lot but try to make them miss or try to render their punches ineffective.. The best boxers in the world only want to spar guys who can box well. They won't waste their time with guys who can't handle the work, so the priority is getting your skills up to a high level.

Well Miljas got dropped in the 1st round last night by Canadian champion Dillon Carman but came back & scored the KO in the 2nd to become the Canadian HW champion in his 8th fight. You were taking about this guy to me before. There are some good domestic fights to be made in Canada if he chooses to gain more experience. Braidwood, Olubawalu, Kean, Teslenko & Franz Rill who is back in Canada fighting now. I just wish Canadian sports channels would cover HW boxing like it use to...

I can say about Daffy Duck whatever I want, but he's promoting Joe Joyce in a very very intelligent way, Joe Joyce will probably become a boxrec top 50 ish boxer after just two fights! He got exactly the correct bums to figth to achieve this, very smart moves from his promotor.

Don't you worry, we are all keeping an eye on DD. He is the best prospect on this thread so far. Another busy year like this one, with a steady upward momentum in the quality of opponent and I expect him to be top #15 by the close of 2018.
His next fight has a great card. Can't wait.

dd has beaten scrubs. aj carter may actually have the worst chin in the sport and is the only guy that pole has stopped in 16 matches. howe ddnt last 1 with gorman either. #15 still quite a way. dubos may be the most overrated since so many ppl beleve hes pretty much guarnateed for big thngs when hes just been swinging for stoppages against nobodies. ya hes young and has an adons physique but im yet to see whats so 'sure thing' about his actual ability. funny how ppl say he can punch but joyce cant. ffs a lot of ppl can punch vs carter howe and blown up light heavys!

Maybe it was you who I talked to about him. I knew it was someone here. He won the Canadian title last weekend but Carman looked like he never trained & they had the double knockdown. Miljas got up & won. Carman can crack so that was good he got up. Kean, Teslenko, Rill & Braidwood would all be good opponents for him on the Canadian domestic scene. I just hate these 8 rounders I'm seeing for a title. When Neven Pajkic was champion he always fought 10 rounders. Wish he stayed around longer but I guess being an actor/stuntman paid better. I hope he isn't worried about his "0". Those are 4 good names who he could defend against here in Canada to gain some much needed experience. I don't remember the last time there was actually 5 decent HWs in Canada. 3 of them very good prospects & Franz Rill has been in there with Robert Helenius & Adrian Granat. Braidwood is a former CFL lineman who turned to boxing but he is a tough SOB who will fight anyone. I think he is the worst of the 5 but a guy Miljas could make a title defence against...

I have been sure Gasan Gimbatov was an excellent prospect. However, a few days ago he lost to a cruiserweight being 0-7-1 in his last eight outings. There's no bigger embarrassment for a boxer, knowing the fact that Gimbatov was preparing for a 7-0 (7 KO's) Secola, and that guy Yuri came basically on one day notice.

Gimbatov should retire for good, there's no way to bounce back from such an embarrassment. IMO he should search for a new job. No matter what he decides about his career, he lost me as a fan and supporter for good. Man I'm hurt.

He should retire just because you are hurt lol wtf. I didnt see the fight maybe it was an off night but hes still young. An early loss like that shouldn't be the end. .Hopefully he'll get a rematch next and set it straight. Anthony Crolla for example lost to a journeyman early in his career.

-Weights were like 280 pounds to 200 pounds or something like that.
-Dude is 36 years old. What kind of a prospect is 36 years old? How far are you predicting him to go, exactly?
