Re: Jerry Quarry Record Corrections
Thanks. The Henry Moreno score was reported as 94-91 in wire-reports. What's your source? Also, the date of the James Williams appears to be correct as we have it (Tuesday Nov. 22).

Re: Jerry Quarry Record Corrections
I sent off to San Antonio and Texas Newspapers for their Microfilm of the fight, scores were 100-93, 100-93, 99-91. they had about 5 differant listings, that 94-91 was a misprint (Moreno 100-93)
The Bakersfield fight was Monday Night 11-21-83 , the fight results were on Tuesday 11-22-83, also sent to Bakersfield Californian, they sent the microfilm to Spokane Washington Library ,(inner library loan) were I was Living at the time.
However you are right they listed it 11-22-83 (thats results, not the fite, unless it went past midnite?

Re: Jerry Quarry Record Corrections
It's not.... There are many ways judges arrive at very odd scores at times.
Possibly a judge figures Quarry won 6 rounds, but lost 2 rounds 10-8.... And Earls won 4 rounds, but lost 3 rounds 10-8

Re: Jerry Quarry Record Corrections
I wished i'd saved the newspaper clipping, I did the research, and write them down in my own record book, it was Leonard Zuniga 100-93, Henry Moreno 100-93, Eddie Lopez 99-91. they were sent from a very good librarian from their newspaper microfilm San Antonio. Again who scores what,
94-91 is impossible for a 10 point "must" Svstem. If Quarry would have won 6 rounds to two, its 98-94.
(without say their were no 2 point 10-8 rounds) there were no 10-8 rounds period, what you said, 10-8 city, would have envolved a Lyle-Foreman fracas, there were no knockdowns for either fighter, or blow out rounds.
