Tyson Fury vs. TBA - April 2018
potentially on the Frampton vs. Donaire card in Belfast on April 21st 2018...
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - April 2018
The board have said today that they've had no contact from Fury or his team for ages and that he's miles away from getting a licence.
Total amateur hour as expected.

*awaits Cease&Desist notice*
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - April 2018
No - but the fact that the board have come out and said he's miles off being licenced whilst Tyson himself is tweeting about getting it today and having a fight with Joshua in the near future makes him and his team look amateurish.
Nobody from his team have even been in touch with the board since early December.

The board has no right to consult the public into matters such as this, isnt this a breach of confidentiality informing the public that Tyson Fury 'Is miles away from getting a licence'?
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - April 2018
To be fair he says he is applying for it today. Not getting it.dirk2686 wrote: ↑10 Jan 2018, 14:21No - but the fact that the board have come out and said he's miles off being licenced whilst Tyson himself is tweeting about getting it today and having a fight with Joshua in the near future makes him and his team look amateurish.

I guess when he applies he will have to have the same medicals, checks as everyonr else. Plus with his self declared mental health issues i wonder if they will conduct a mental health check.
He is a fool thinking he'd beat AJ straight off. He isn't sugar ray. But he needs to stay relevant whilsy AJ is fighting Parker and wilder whilst fury will be losing his only belt.
Expect fury V someone low risk, low power, low work rate for his comeback. No ideas who that fits though.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - April 2018
The Fury team will end up taking the board by force. Circling the caravans around the building. No one gets in or out without purchasing a bit of tatt, or getting nipped by a pitbull until cousin Tyson gets his licence ![[icon_e_surprised.gif] :oo](./images/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif)
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - April 2018
I voted yes out of optimism.
Who would be a good opponent for Tyson at this point? I'm leaning towards a domestic opponent. Maybe someone like DL Jones, Bill Hodgson Dominic Akinlade to ease him back in?

But are they worthy of a RING MAGAZINE title shot? Hell no. I'm hoping for someone like Dillian Whyte.

He has been out for a while, I think a warmup fight is in order.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑10 Jan 2018, 15:51But are they worthy of a RING MAGAZINE title shot? Hell no. I'm hoping for someone like Dillian Whyte.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - April 2018
Whyte, in literal truth, is a European level fighter. He's substantially shorter than Fury, and lost by kayo to Joshua and has been rather inactive himself (two fights in 2017, one against journeyman Tann) and his fight with Browne fell through. So he's available. His #10 rating is just enough to pass for a RING MAGAZINE title defense, though decisioning the "damaged goods" Helenius shouldn't have warranted him that rating (imho).Gnome wrote: ↑10 Jan 2018, 16:13He has been out for a while, I think a warmup fight is in order.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑10 Jan 2018, 15:51But are they worthy of a RING MAGAZINE title shot? Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - April 2018
If Tyson is serious about coming back and gets himself in proper fighting shape Whyte would fit that category IMOGnome wrote: ↑10 Jan 2018, 16:13He has been out for a while, I think a warmup fight is in order.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑10 Jan 2018, 15:51But are they worthy of a RING MAGAZINE title shot? Not for a man dead set on getting Anthony Joshua ASAP. He needs a good test and Whyte fits the bill. If he beats Whyte, then he could take a bow and say he defended the Ring belt after 2.5 years against a top ten opponent, and maybe have one more bout after that and get Joshua by winter time.wesshaw1985 wrote: ↑10 Jan 2018, 17:02he needs to build himself back up.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑10 Jan 2018, 15:51But are they worthy of a RING MAGAZINE title shot? I reckon Fury vs. Joshua happens in the summer of 2019 at Wembley, giving Tyson plenty of time to get back to full fitness.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑10 Jan 2018, 18:57Not for a man dead set on getting Anthony Joshua ASAP. This year is about activity...

Tyson won't get in the ring at all. He is fat and has mental problems.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - April 2018
Id like to see it happen but I dont think it will. I'm kind of thinking that fury is calling out Joshua now to jump the queue because he probably knows that he isnt the same mediocre fighter he was before the klit fight. Im guessing here but all the ups and downs hes had and the inactivity surely doesnt make him the world beater hes proclaiming. If Fury fought AJ first fight back and beat AJ it would be the biggest shock in boxing in terms of whats been going on over the last few years and a fat bloke coming back after so much crap and beating the best heavyweight in the division.wesshaw1985 wrote: ↑10 Jan 2018, 20:38I reckon Fury vs. Joshua happens in the summer of 2019 at Wembley, giving Tyson plenty of time to get back to full fitness.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑10 Jan 2018, 18:57Not for a man dead set on getting Anthony Joshua ASAP. I think Fury possibly will be back in April against a low key fighter or someone like Chisora (Id like to see him with Price) someone who will not give him much trouble, which is ok I guess as you need to gel back in.
But, I think if he fights anyone of note he could well be found out and balls it all up, purely through inactivity and the time scale. Who ever matches up Fury with an opponant I hope they are not also living in cloud cuckoo land and are looking beyond his means.
Fury isnt going to be around too long if he does come back in April. He's not going to beat everyone up and slaughter AJ and rule the world for 5 years or more. Fury, if fights will have 2 or 3 fights max and be caught out. The joke will then be over.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - April 2018
Once again this smacks of Fury setting himself a target to try and get him geared up for a comeback. But he's not got a licence, an opponent, a venue, or a proper date. Everything about every one of his comebacks always seems vague and unlikely.
If he was licensed, fit, and actually had a coherent plan people might take notice, but he's none of those things and the only people giving his 'I'd knock Joshua out now' droning the time of day are the same dribblers who go on about his Wlad fight like it was Calzaghe Lacy.

What proportion of your posts are Fury-related dirk? 70%? 80%?
