Dodd is tough as nails but I reckon Ritson destroys them both...

Dodd is Durable and tough - that would last longer - it would be GBH against Coyle with those body shots.

Paul Hyland Jnr is 17-0.
Ricky Burns in Newcastle would be a huge fight aswell after he gets the Commonwealth Title from Dodd or Coyle to add to his British...

Can’t see Burns fighting anyone other than Josh Taylor if he fought anyone in the U.K. again - wouldn’t be enough cash in fight like that for Burns at this stage in his career.

Very impressive from Ritson, I expected him to win but not like that, total demolition job, it was over quick but still seen more of the punch variety he showed against Barrett and again having success to the body, vicious left hooks, Murray done unbelievably well to get up after the first one, that was a sickener, great combination punching from Ritson, showed a killer instinct in getting Murray out of there and was never gonna let him off the hook

Well impressed by Ritson, even better win than the Barrett one, I think he beats Dodd, Cardle and Coyle

Ritson looks the goods and Eddie seems to want him to keep busy.
Said he wants him to fight in march and june.

At that rate he would have won the british outright within 7 months of winning it.

Eddie has made a coop with this lad.
Looks a destroyer at British level, heard nothing but good stuff about him previously. If he's blowing Murray away like that then I don't give winner of Coyle vs Dodd much chance, but hey ho, could be a good fight nonetheless. Hopefully Ritson, Kelly and a few others become a fixture in North East fight nights.

What should be a great day for Newcastle has become a terrible one.
Well done Lewis.
RIP Scott.

On the subject of north-east boxers lets not forget British Champion Tommy Ward. Great boxer.

Ritson vs Cardle next apparently. Think Cardle will get stopped as well, got one of those styles that make people think he's skilled and slicked but in reality he gets hit a fair amount and Ritson seems to have very good power. Loves a body shot as well.

There's a few in and around the domestic scene who could at least make a stir, the obvious one is Josh Kelly, but there is others with potential. And there's plenty that are still amateur that could turnover and start building the profile of boxing in the region.
