Povetkin just entered WBC rankings on March 1 at number 4. And number 3 Ortiz just lost. I could see Povetkin being named mandatory if he beats Price. Here we go again.

Taking into account the business of the fighters Breazeale could be fine. That will be a bar brawl with a KO of Breazeale in the end.

Wilder vs Joshua honestly will probably never be a bigger event than it is right now. So Haymon and them may jump at the chance to try to get it signed by years end.

Though Wilder succeeded against Ortiz he struggled enough that if you're his promoter you probably don't want to d*ck around fighting lesser fights and risk the opportunity of him losing and you missing out on that Multi-Million dollar payday.

So basically. My guess is either Wilder is gonna fight Joshua next, or he's gonna go back to defending his title against guys that aren't ranked in the Top 10 until the Joshua fight comes along. They're not gonna risk him against another dangerous opponent that's not named Joshua.

I'm not that confident he will take any hard fights for a while. I think he might go back to what he was doing before Ortiz.

Yeah that's possible, but if Povetkin is still slated to fight David Price in the U.K. I'd figure that if somebody is gonna be fighting Povetkin soon it'd be AJ. Because that's surely the idea behind bringing him to the U.K. to flatten Price.

Povetkin vs Whyte would be solid, but consider Povetkin's age I figure he's just about at the point where he wants a really big fight or just not to bother at all.

I figure the only reason he's coming over to fight Price first is because Price is perceived as such an easy mark.

No, simply he is bigger and younger.....Povetkin is more skillful, of course, and he would face the two opponents ("the father time" and Whyte)................

Joshua would be ideal but that's not gonna happen. There's already talk of AJ fighting Jarrell Miller in August if he beats Parker & Miller beats Duhaupas in April. So that means AJ-Wilder would be early 2019 at the soonest.

Wilder will probably take any easy fight like Breazale but after this sensational war with Ortiz the audience should be big just based on the excitement factor. Another "donnybrook" surely wouldnt hurt sales for an eventual PPV showdown with Joshua.

Not a double standard. Wilder & AJ have established different standards THEMSELVES. AJ has consistently faced better fighters than Deontay, with Ortiz being the lone exception. Miller is a step down for AJ, but Breazeale is the same kind of 2nd-tier scrub Wilder has routinely feasted on before Ortiz. If Wilder KOs anyone in his pre-Joshua tuneup it will help sell PPVs for AJ bout.

I'm not saying Breazale has a chance but given Wilder's propensity for FIGHTING DOWN to the level of his competition Wilder would find a way to make it an exciting fight.

AJ fought same Breazeale, and same Molina btw....and didn't get same tons of shit as Wilder! double standarts
