None of the legitimate, worthy champions though....only the guys that you've never heard of and never will hear of.

Mikey Garcia is a 4 division champion while never fighting the top boxer in any of the 4 weight classes. What does that tell you? You can try to mention this kid with Manny and JMM but those guys actually fought the top fighters in their weight classes. Mikey, you aren't even close to them or doing that.
Are you stupid? Lipinets was the ONLY champ.

I like to see fighters take risks... Mikey is going to invade 147 in a year or 2... He'll be stronger and faster when he does...

I gave Lipinets 1 round... Mikey is the dominant fighter at 140 so he'll clean the division out quickly... Perhaps the Loma fight can be made and that would delay Garcia going to 147 -- but that would be an unbelievable fight.

I would like to see Spence and Crawford fight before Mikey gets to 147... That way he can focus on 1 guy.

Agreed...I think he's too small to deal with top welters!! 140 has lots of young talent and Loma should eventually move up there to give Mikey his long-awaited megafight!! :OhYes:

How do either of your points change the fact that Mikey Garcia cherry picks titles? Maybe I should have said "Mikey Garcia see's an easy way to get a new divisional title instead of belt holder" to be accurate but you're both splitting hairs. We all know what that's a sign of.

He and Linares were deep into negotiations months ago. Linares gave in to every one of Garcia's demands just to make the fight that the fans wanted to see for once. Garcia backed out in the last second to fight a kick boxer to grab a simple strap and bogusly have his name added to a list of great boxers and champions. If either of you guys consider Mikey Garcia to be great on the even playing field with Manny and JMM right now then you really should start following another past time or pay closer attention to your kids. Because this sport ain't for you.

OH and Mexi-idiot, that last part above wasn't meant for you. I know you have no idea where your kids are and haven't seen them for years most likely.

Lipinets was the ONLY belt holder. I rank Garcia highly yes, but he's not my all-time favorite boxer.. I'm also not saying he's on the same playing field with Manny and JMM.. But it's a fact that he along with those 2 have won world titles in those 4 divisions. That's a fact. I was clearly stating that fact.

Negotiations start and get broken all the time. Get over it.

Robert Garcia explained if Mikey is unable to land a fight with Cotto, he could potentially fight Robert Easter Jr. in a unification fight in December. On October 5, the WBC ordered a fight between Garcia and Jorge Linares (43-3, 27 KOs), as Linares holds the WBC Diamond title, in addition to the WBA lightweight title. Garcia commented on Twitter that the Cotto fight couldn't happen as Golden Boy Promotions required him signing an exclusive long-term contract with them in order to make the fight. Garcia also mentioned that the fight with Linares wouldn't happen before the end of the year as Linares was unavailable on December.

Oh, i'm over it. In fact, I used to be a fan of Mikey Garcia prior to his hiatus. Since he's come back, he's been nothing but a scavenger looking for the path of least resistance in every situation. I'm normally ok with that and understand it but don't seek out microphones every chance you get and claim that you're "want to fight the best for the fans" because it's BS. Just call it what it is and I'm good with it. But don't back out of a fight that fans have been craving for a freaking kick boxer. I mean really. Lipinets was better than i anticipated but no one wanted to see that fight.

Mikey fans are fine but just be real about it. It's not just me, the announcers last week said the same thing. WHEN is this gonna happen Mikey? Are you done cherry picking yet? Because we'd like to see you fight someone that we currently know. I'll even settle for that. Just fight someone i've heard of before, that's would be great. Thanks
