Sky are miles ahead in terms of sheer financial clout though. They have loads more Premier League football for example.

Sky are very reliant on English premier league football. Their business model collapses without that. BT have multiple revenue streams and are far less reliant on sports subscribers. Also BT revenue is roughly double that of Sky.

I wouldn't rule BT out. The sky ball is burst long term in my opinion.

Huge? It was a big event in the sport but it wasn't huge, Groves was in a couple of bigger fight 3 and 4 years ago.

All their money is tied up in bidding over the odds for English football meaning they hardly have any budget for anything else, including boxing. BT could outbid them without blinking.

I thought they might have put smaller show on with Yarde/Davies/Dubois but they are all Jun 23rd now - 2nd fight of year for 2 young fighters isn’t much use and 1st for Davies.
