Good contest.
Probably Langford on points but should be lively and competitive.
Shame it’s not at a bigger venue.

Good scrap. Welborn always gives it his all. Who's promoting this? Will it be televised?
Re: Langford v welborn
Thought Langford v Heffron was good as done? Is Langford still with allegedly
Re: Langford v welborn
Looking forward to this can't think of a better way to start the Wolves promotion party weekend than watching two WBA fans knock fornicate out of each other!
Haha just kidding big fan of both lads, I'd go Langford wide points but in a good tough competitive fight.
Is this a Warren show?

Yeah read properly now.
Am I a miserable fornicate thinking £50 standard is a bit steep its usually £35 for shows like that.

Re: Langford v welborn
Yeah exactly I'd be happy to pay it if there was a decent undercard say an area title fight on it, but they seem to think it'll sell out quick and no undercard news yet.

I think it only holds 600 for boxing so I suppose ticket prices need to be upped to pay the wages.
Re: Langford v welborn
Should have held it somewhere bigger than, suppose Civic being out of action doesn't help but surely there's other places.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑29 Mar 2018, 10:12 I think it only holds 600 for boxing so I suppose ticket prices need to be upped to pay the wages.
Honestly thinking about not bothering its more the principle. Have happily paid £30-£40 to watch Langford and Welborn in worse fights but now there's a bit of a silly football slant to it and a local derby so more interest (ie it'll sell out anyway) they've ramped the prices up.

It’s a good enough contest to head up a medium sized show but there aren’t too many options for 2-3000 seaters in Bham and surrounding areas really.ste1983 wrote: ↑29 Mar 2018, 10:35Should have held it somewhere bigger than, suppose Civic being out of action doesn't help but surely there's other places.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑29 Mar 2018, 10:12 I think it only holds 600 for boxing so I suppose ticket prices need to be upped to pay the wages.

The BCB show at Genting Arena looked pretty empty from the online stream they posted so perhaps not ready to take another crack at such a big one just yet.
Re: Langford v welborn

Re: Langford v welborn
Yeah I thought so.
I think I had Craig up by about 4 rounds.
It was a good contest, competitive but clear in my eyes.
Besides Craig having already beaten Welborn, he has already had a fight with Langford pulled when Langford went for the interim WBO fight so it is perfectly understandable that he isn't happy to have missed out.
Re: Langford v welborn
Understand Craig's disappointment but his point is irrelevant. He's lost his last two fights and therefore couldn't box for a British title anyway. There's been numerous fights where they have fallen through and never materialised after that.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑30 Mar 2018, 07:01Yeah I thought so.

I like Jason he’s a good fella & good luck to him but you’ve got to feel for Craig Cunningham the fight was made then cancelled now he has this rubbed in his face.

Re: Langford v welborn
Has Weshaw not done a poll about this? That Benson dude on Twitter couldn't have mentioned it then.. ..
