remember the 'inspiration' for this thread- you're arguing with someone who said Chris Eubank Jr is 'one of the smartest boxers in the history of the sport. Jake LaMotta would 'piss his pants' if he was in the ring with someone with the 'power, speed and skill' of Eubank. the same Eubank who has no proven skill or power at world level
you want to bother arguing with this? he drools that Eubank is one of the smartest boxers of all time, then carries on defending the ridiculous opinion when he is called out on it.
you want to waste your time arguing with that? Chris Eubank jr 'smartest in boxing history', who would make Lamotta 'piss his pants'?
you want to waste your time on that? we're all insane for doing so. we've all wasted far too much time, and worse, used up far too much forum space induging him
its time to stop.
Did he really say that?
Chris Eubank Jr is not even the smartest boxer in his family, let alone the history of the sport.
His first loss was a SD... He had a very limited amateur career and about 18 pro fights which were mainly quick KO's before he fought Billy Joe Saunders... He's much better now, but still a long way from where he needs to be...
Once the jab and straight right come in he'll be hard to beat... Groves has 2 losses, but really upped his skills since then.

Lol.
'Once the jab and straight right come in' he'll be good
One of the 'smartest fighters in the history of the sport'
And he hasn't even mastered the jab or the straight right hand yet
He hasn't even mastered the most basic punches in boxing
And THAT is one of the 'smartest fighters in the history of the sport'

He doesn't look that much better now than when he lost to Saunders.
It was the same lack of fundamentals that led to both of his defeats & both fights ended the same, with him desperately rallying at the end to try & pull out a stoppage, because he hadn't done enough previously.
Even if he had Bob Foster's jab & Thomas Hearns' Right hand, he still be nowhere near one of the most intelligent fighters ever, he's just not that good.

Haha, that reminds me of the story about the Beetles when a reporter asked John Lennon if Ringo Starr was the best drummer in the world, Lennon replied saying he wasn't even the best drummer in the band.
Senior says his son is better than he was and I think he would know better than you... Senior lost 5 and drew 2... He said his son has the speed of Calzaghe with more power... I know a lot of that is Senior's verbosity and hype, but he believes it.
What they're missing is a sense of distance, range, counter punching excellence, and more work on the jab and footwork. Eubank certainly has time enough to get those parts done... He's also smart enough... Wait for the finished product.
How long did it take Wladimir Klitschko to achieve All Time Greatness??? .... He was in his mid 30's; patience man.

Eubank Sr believes a lot of things. Most of which belong in the garbage can.

Yeah, but apart from that, what else did the Romans do for us?
In one sentence you point out 5 of Juniors faults, yet still claim he is one of the most intelligent fighters EVER.
Seriously you have got to be the biggest idiot in the history of internet posting.
See Golden?! I told you Kalan's posts are hilarious! Can't take him seriously. I think he's a grade schooler pretending...I think he cuts and pastes his replies as so many are identical...PHONY!

So he one of the smartest boxers in history, but lacks pretty much all the fundemental skills and knowledge of a good boxer. He's crap all flash and no substance, gotten as far as he has on speed and cherrypicking.
Bare in mind this cretin also has Anthony Joshua down as the fastest, most athletic, most powerful, and indeed intelligent Heavyweight who EVER lived.
I defy you to come up with ANYTHING more fukking stupid than a claim such as that.
Ewbanks is the smartest fighter out there? LMFAO!!! I wonder what Kalan thinks of today's performance.
You guys are a couple lying bastards... I put Eubank in with a large group other other intelligent fighters and never said he was the smartest.... Wladimir had many of the same flaws as Eubank -- and that's why he didn't reach his peak until his mid 30's... I expect Eubank to work on his skills and develop his game to a much higher degree in the next few years... I don't expect him to surpass Floyd Mayweather, but he will be one of the better guys out there... Wladimir had big problems when he was 28... By the time he was 33 he was riding high and kept that peak for 5 years.
I never said Joshua was "the fastest, most athletic, most powerful, and indeed intelligent Heavyweight who EVER lived"... He has the best combination of skills and power so far... He made a mistake coming in lighter than he has in 4 years... to satisfy some people who say he has stamina issues when he doesn't... He looked sharper, quicker, and stronger vs Takem and Wladimir.. I also thought the referee did a piss poor job and was too disruptive, so there was no real flow.

LMAO!!!!!! .... Read this idiot's posts before commenting -- because you try everything you can to pull my chain
Moldie calls me every name in the book for saying Eric Molina did a good job KOing 50-4, Two-Division World Champion Tomasz Adamek (Who beat Heavyweights who previously challenged Lennox Lewis and Vitali Klitschko for the Heavyweight Championship and who were 28-1 and 46-3 when they face Adamek, but it's outrageous I give Molina credit for beating such an "average" Heavyweight)
I guess Adamek should have been ranked 600th at the time??? Putting him above 50% in the Heavyweight Rankings?

You are truly the pot calling the kettle black. You've got yourself a reputation Kalan...it's not what you want.
Yeah you're so pure.... You pompous piece of triteness.
I can't help if folks get feathers up there kazoos and hairs up their nose every time anybody points out present day boxers are doing a good job (regardless of how fkd up Boxing is).... And mythological masters of the past weren't always perfect.
It's a sin to compare Joshua with some ATG's who got their ass beaten umpteen times by massive underdogs... Or they got floored from loaded shots by guys who came in off numerous losses or had numerous defeats
There's room for everyone's opinion here.... Including mine.

See that? I stopped reading after your opening. You are not being heard except your asinine personal commentary. It's a head's up. So get your head out of your ass and be civil. So annoying!
