there matching him to get kos right now. its clear there more focused in building the image then really developing his experience in the ring with guys who usually go rounds or ask some questions. if they wanted the later they could at least try a guy like kamil sokolowski.

certainly, someone like rivas is likey way way way off the rader for now. there not even looking at guys who would simply go rounds in defeat, let alone an unbeaten olympian who can punch and pose a real threat
Makes sense. I'm just saying the obvious maybe, as his matchups are 2 - 4 months apart. I'm sure he'll step it up late this year, but don't think that much. They are probably in a read and react every 2 or 3 bouts based on his growth. I agree that 100 1 round fights don't help him any.

Dubois has a 100% KO ratio. Until he goes the distance, his matchmakers are going to be preoccupied with stacking the deck to ensure that his perfect ratio stays in tact. There have been a lot of other fighters with the 100% KO record as part of their marketing material -- Deontay Wilder, Edwin Valero, Tyrone Spong, etc. Last year, Tyrone Spong fought a guy who was 0-15(14)-1 and another guy who was 0-14(14). I used to be one of Wilder's only advocates on boxrec, like 7 years ago, and of course it was hard to defend his matchmaking when his handlers were going the extra mile to keep his perfect KO record in tact.

I actually believe it's his (Dubois) development plan and not bloating the record. Young and blessed with great power, it makes sense to take it slow at 20 years old. Seems HW's, these days, hit prime in late twenties and early thirties. Hope his skills develop so they can maximize his talents. If so, he'll be tough to beat, although we haven't seen his chin tested. We've seen that story before.
