I think this would be a very boring fight, although it is an interesting match up, for some reason I think Mayweather would pull out the decision with his speed. It'd be one of those fights in which they feint for most of the round and have one or two exchanges.

Really? this seems like a great chess match between two master craftsman. Hard to predict or even imagine a blowout either way.

If they fought in the same era they'd never fight each other.

Can go either way in my book, my money's on Whitaker.

This is an odd one. Mayweather has some great skills. He is excellent defensively. Whittaker relied more on his movement and reflexes and he was quicker on his feet. I think Whittaker's style was very difficult to beat and I think you need a power punching swarmer or a Lightweight Tommy Hearns to beat him.

Difficult one to pick, Whittaker's whole career was brilliant, as has Mayweather's so far. Maybe we will find out a flaw in Mayweather at some point which we didnt really in Whittaker other than a lack of punch power maybe. This would be a close, close decision one way or the other, Whittaker faced better opposition, so I'd lean towards Whittaker

i think whitaker would beat him, i think floyd struggles with southpaws and i know he beat judah but judah is judah, a predictable 4 round fighter who loses when things dont go his way the whole time, whitaker was too crafty for floyd, sweet pea by unanimous decision

At 140 Whitiker would confuse and beat Floyd on a pretty easy decision. At 135 I think Floyd was still quick enough to compete. Floyd would lose to Pernell at 135, just not as easy a time.

Two fantasitic fighters and defensive wizards. But PBF has extra speed and volume. He has everything as good as Pernell and he an also fight extremel well on he retrat. If PBF pushes the fight, he has the speed and defense to beat Pea, and if somehow Pea pushes PBF, then PBF can also use his blazing speed on te backfoot. Very close fight but PBF by UD....
