I'd never put Whyte over Miller or Ortiz.
I'd say of recent wins, Miller has a better resume than Whyte.
Compare last 3..
Miller: Duhaupas, Wach, Washington
Whyte: Browne, Helenius, Tann
Even Chisora is somewhat of a question mark..

I can not agree.....Concernig my country / region, all of us are white, and there is no Irish at all.....And Fury is still popular.........gilgamesh wrote: ↑06 May 2018, 14:01It's not that hard to explain. He's White and Irish. That's probably 80% of it right there.ValMar wrote: ↑06 May 2018, 13:57He has "something" .....It is difficult, or better impossible, to explain, but, he is different, simply different, and very popular fighter, because of that........gilgamesh wrote: ↑06 May 2018, 13:41
No certainly not. He's an attraction, and even in spite of my personal feelings toward him I'd never suggest that a Boxing promoter should ignore a guy that's money.
I just find it odd as to WHY he's one of the most popular boxers. The only exciting fight I've ever seen him in was the Steve Cunningham fight. I guess dressing up like Batman, and acting like a complete and absolute fool makes you popular?
Re: Top 10 HW's (We've had some fights...time to update)
He fought last week. I have him in my Top 15, but can't rank him in the Top 10 again for now as he's barely been active the last few years, and he struggled pretty bad with Joey Dawejko. The scores in his favor were wider than they should've been...don't get me wrong he legitimately deserved the win over Joey, but it was closer than the scores indicated.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑06 May 2018, 14:14Fut me, where's Jennings popped out from.funso banjo baby wrote: ↑06 May 2018, 14:11 Champion : Fury

People like jackasses I guess. It's all the rage these days to be a jackass. Works for Conor McGregor too.ValMar wrote: ↑06 May 2018, 14:15I can not agree.....Concernig my country / region, all of us are white, and there is no Irish at all.....And Fury is still popular.........

I don't concern myself why fans do what they do and I find it condescending to refer to folks as casual fans. That's all. I've been into the sweet science for the better part of the last 50 years, and I like Fury's antics (entertainment value like Ali). So am I causal? No...It's my favorite sport and will always be. I like watching brawls and also love technically well fought fights just as much. You tell me...what's a causal fan?

Re: Top 10 HW's (We've had some fights...time to update)
For "Minor Champions" I prefer to use the term "Contender with a Belt" as I think it's more accurate.
Don't really see how Hughie is even Top 20, let alone Top 10.
Re: Top 10 HW's (We've had some fights...time to update)
if someone thought he beat parker
i mean how less proven is he then andy ruiz?

1. Anthony Joshua (last fought: 3-31-2018)
2. Deontay Wilder (last fought: 3-3-2018)
3. Alexander Povetkin - (last fought: 3-31-2018)

6. Luis Ortiz - (last fought: 3-3-2018)
7. Dillian Whyte - (last fought: 3-24-2018)
8. Carlos Takam - (last fought: 10-28-2017)
9. Tony Bellew - (last fought: 5-5-2018)
10. Andy Ruiz Jr. (last fought: 3-10-2018)
11. Dominic Breazeale (last fought: 2-25-2017)
12. Adam Kownacki - (last fought: 1-20-2018)
13. Agit Kabayel - (last fought: 4-21-2018)
14. Christian Hammer - (last fought: 12-15-2017)
15. Bryant Jennings - (last fought: 4-28-2018)
16. Lucas Browne - (last fought: 6-2-2017)
17. Charles Martin - (last fought: 7-18-2017)
18. Oscar Rivas - (last fought: 4-19-2018)
19. Dereck Chisora - (last fought: 3-24-2018)
20. Tom Schwarz - (last fought: 4-21-2018)
If you wanted to switch out Hughie for Schwarz I wouldn't argue with you too much, but Hughie basically seems to be highly regarded because he's a better fighters cousin.
Re: Top 10 HW's (We've had some fights...time to update)
Duke, I love who you do it like this!!!! Agree...! (except Fury) We already had an emeritus champion...due to injury not habits.
Re: Top 10 HW's (We've had some fights...time to update)
i could easily see hughie above guys like schwarz, browne, rivas. i mean what the hell has scwarz done? hughie beat rudenko, kassi (right after kassi gave breazele hell), and many thought beat parker
browne looked f@cking awful last fight and its been over 2 years since he came from way behind to beat old chag. rivas is still in with pretty much all cans
and martin really hasnt done anything at all lately
and how is ruiz 10 but hughie not even belonging top 20?

I can't comment (other than this), as I've not seen enough of Hughie if that's the fury your talking about.jamamb wrote: ↑06 May 2018, 15:22 i could easily see hughie above guys like schwarz, browne, rivas. i mean what the hell has scwarz done? hughie beat rudenko, kassi (right after kassi gave breazele hell), and many thought beat parker
