Joyce vs. Miller ?
Joyce vs. Miller ?
I read on an American site that Joe Joyce was willing to face Miller. Is this a realistic scenario, and what do you think about this potential match ?
Re: Joyce vs. Miller ?
Joyce is big, that disables Miller's main advantage of size. Furthermore, Joyce is mobile, what can provide a nightmarish counteraction for Miller. Maybe Joyce looks a bit careless and awkward, but awkwardness can be positive, especially against Miller, cause, despite Miller has shown solid skills, he still appeared to be sluggish and not very ingenious. Maybe Joyce's lack of pro-experience can spoil everything now, but for the moment Joe seems to be such kind of fighter, who has all the potential to defeat the likes of Miller.

I agree with this. Would be a good fight IMO. Either that or boring.DrDuke wrote: ↑08 May 2018, 12:31 Joyce is big, that disables Miller's main advantage of size. Re: Joyce vs. Miller ?
You guys really gotta slow your roll with Joyce. He's 4 fights in for f*cks sake. I realize he just got a pretty damn big win for a guy in only his 4th Pro Contest, but you guys are talking about jumping him up to Top 10 in the World already...pump the brakes.

Joyce urged Miller to forget about landing a fight against the unified champion. He said: ‘Sounds like your making excuses big man. Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder are going to fight, so I can be your warm up for the summer. Let’s go to war for the fans.’I can see @mrdavidhaye is teaching you well trying to get Big Fights with Out actually Earning them lol you looking like brown skin lurch from addams Family Get 10 Fights first you not no @VasylLomachenko lmfao Another english muffin lmfao https://t.co/yds1pyxXtF — BIGBABYMILLER (@BIGBABYMILLER) May 8, 2018

Re: Joyce vs. Miller ?
You can unify yes..
Apparently, it was said somewhere that the winner of Fury vs. Sexton, who will claim the British title. It would be a mandatory somehow to fight Joyce..
Re: Joyce vs. Miller ?
So Fury has announced that his opponent on June 9th will be Sam Sexton?Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑08 May 2018, 12:53You can unify yes..

Glad to hear it...took long enough
Re: Joyce vs. Miller ?
Wait a minute, wait a minute...hold the phone.
I just checked Sam's record, and it says he's scheduled to fight Hughie Fury for the British Title on May 12th...so has that been scrapped or is he planning on fighting both Fury's in a 30 day span?

Re: Joyce vs. Miller ?
EXACTLY !
Re: Joyce vs. Miller ?
That's what they said about Lomachenko before he fought Salido and before he fought GRJ. Not all prospects are cut from the same cloth.
Re: Joyce vs. Miller ?
Joyce doesn't have a jab.
Re: Joyce vs. Miller ?
He does but it wasn't in evidence against Thomas. Maybe Joe decided he didn't need it.
I agree with Gil that Joyce needs another fight or two before tackling someone like Miller but I love the fact he's aiming so high, so soon.
Miller v Joyce is a mouth-watering prospect I reckon, and not easy to call. In Joyce, Miller might find someone who can last the course better than he can (and I've always said Miller has good stamina despite his bulk). On the other hand Miller throws a lot of punches. Joyce is more heavy handed.
So having weighed it all up, processed all the information, given it serious thought .... my final conclusion ... drumroll please ... is ... fukced if I know
