So.....Liston goes in with a plan to take a dive.......But Ali goofs his plan by actually hitting him hard enough to discombobulate him (a little) which takes him off his focus and he temporarily reverts to instincts which has him attempting to get up after an unplanned genuine flash KD.......then coming to his senses he once again remembers the plan....and BACK DOWN HE GOES........however in his discombobulated state, he decides to get up once again....foiling his own blueprint for the night......BUT HOLD THE PHONE!!!! JWW saves the day with his incompetence and rules the fight is over, after listening to Nat, allowing Liston to get just what he wanted in the first place.

Yep. If you think Liston went down easy, that's another thing, but a dive is someone going down with no contact. It's the same in football. There's a soft penalty, there's simulation and there's diving.
