Maybe some exotic local would step up and surprise on bid.jvincent wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 16:11I agree againIt's just Hearns' hubris in protecting his fighter.I Think both fighters want the fight. I have a feeling that both fighters teams however fancy one last outing before putting it all on the line. (Breazeale / Povetkin, Pulev etc.) This provides more problems though as mandatories start to get called and before you know it its 2020 and still no fight. If Its not happening next its not going to be this year. The longer it drags on though the more likely it is to happen in the US I think.
Re: AJ refuses to fight outside UK---turns down $50 million guarantee with no cap !
That would be ideal. IMO.

A bunch of pu$$y Brits sticking up for their Pu$$y champion who’s playing hide and go seek with the title. THE fight to make against the most worthy challenger is not what you want to see because why? Because the winner is in doubt. I think the fight would be classic but you would rather jump in a van with 10 other British Hoopleheads to chant and sing songs as AJ takes down another guy with an overactive pituitary gland so you can bump chests and other things later that night. Joke. Brits have no heart.

Caldo, let's not have an international incident just yet. One guy made the statements, certainly not all of us. Please don't bunch us up like that. It serves no purpose.caldo2025 wrote: ↑13 May 2018, 18:20America. Interesting point and well taken. The ones that commented with national bias apply. All others, comments were not not directed.

in 4.5 years aj already has the best resume in the hw division, except for perhaps povetkin if you count fights from years back
go look at the thread asking ppl for there top 10, on pretty much every list aj had beaten the most top 10 ranked guys and wlad wouldve easily been there too

Joshua has a better CV than Wilder.
The fact he has a better CV after half as many fights shows how slowly Wilder has been moved.

Klitschko was over the hill. Didn't Parker basically beat nobody, and look bad in his fights leading up to Joshua? Who has Whyte beat?

Re: AJ refuses to fight outside UK---turns down $50 million guarantee with no cap !
I love being able to recycle some of my old posts to address the criticism of those who believe Wilder's resume is as impressive as AJ's...
If you take one look at The RING’s ratings at the time AJ & Wilder competed in their last eight bouts, it actually seems kind of bizarre for anyone to rate Deontay’s resume as being either on a par or perhaps more superior than Anthony Joshua's:
Deontay Wilder:
• Bermane Stiverne (3rd)
• Eric Molina (unranked)
• Johann Duhaupas (unranked & tasted defeat two fights prior)
• Artur Szpilka (unranked)
• Chris Arreola (unranked & only won two of his previous six outings)
• Gerald Washington (unranked)
• Bermane Stiverne (7th & had struggled to defeat a journeyman in his only outing since his first defeat to Wilder)
• Luis Ortiz (5th)
Anthony Joshua:
• Gary Cornish (unranked & unbeaten)
• Dillian Whyte (unranked & unbeaten - he is currently rated 6th though)
• Charles Martin (10th, the IBF champ & also unbeaten)
• Dominic Breazeale (unranked & unbeaten - he is currently rated 8th though)
• Eric Molina (unranked)
• Wladimir Klitschko (2nd, a future Hall-of-Famer & only tasted defeat once in the 13 years prior)
• Carlos Takam (unranked, but was the IBF's mandatory & a late substitute opponent)
• Joseph Parker (3rd, the WBO champ & also unbeaten)
How many mandatory defences of his WBC title has ‘The Bronze Bomber’ performed during his thirty nine months title reign? Only once, against an opponent on a poor run of form and had already defeated
Other than Bermane Stiverne & Luis Ortiz, how many times has the American competed against top-ten world class opposition? Zero
Is it true that AJ was paid almost twice as much for the Joseph Parker (≈$20m) bout alone than the combined total that Wilder commanded for all eight of his WBC world title fights (≈$11.1m)? Yes
Is it true that AJ holds the IBF, WBA, WBO & IBO titles, with Wilder only possessing the WBC belt? Yes
Is it true that ESPN, The RING & BoxRec rate Anthony Joshua above Deontay Wilder in their heavyweight rankings? Yes
How many times has Deontay Wilder competed in a WBC world title fight against an opponent that wasn’t affiliated in some manner to Al Haymon? One (Johann Duhaupas)
Also, Joseph Parker, Dillian Whyte and Dominic Brazeale are currently rated in The RING’s top-ten heavyweight fighters, with all three of them having previously suffered defeat to AJ.
The only fighter that Deontay Wilder has defeated in the current top-ten RING-rated heavyweights list is Luis Ortiz.

Perhaps visionary Elon Musk could pitch them the idea of using SpaceX to rocket them out to a newly created space arena, where they can have their highly anticipated championship fight. It could be billed as the first ever "Heavyweight Championship of the Galaxy".
Of course it would be way too expensive to rocket an arena full of fans to attend, but the new space arena could be equipped with a plethora of HD cameras from all angles and showcase this fight on PPV at $200 a pop.
Then the winner of the fight would have then have the option of A. - Board a rocket back to Earth, or B. - Board a second rocket, and become the first man ever to travel to and land on Mars.
This far-out scenario is no more delusional or far-fetched than this thread has gotten.
