If Golovkin would win impressively in Japan then his stocks would get even higher.
I think Golovkin would vacate the WBC and IBF titles and then fight Murata in Japan.

People would probably say that Golovkin ducked Jermall and Derev but if Jermall and Jacobs would fight for the vacated WBC title then the winner would be a valuable opponent for a future fight with GGG. Same situation with the IBF title. Also Canelo and Saunders could fight each other but I really doubt it because Saunders would ask around 10+ M's and Oscar would probably give him 3 or 4 M's.

I think one of the main reasons Golovkin is mad at Clenbnelo is that the cheater put him into this situation with mandatories. Unifying was and probably still is very important for him. I think he will fight Derevo next.

Canelo has to be tested Olympic - style drug test. If Golovkin will ever want to rematch him this should be the first demand or fight is off.

refusing to acknowledge how things have changed since the first fight or how much he needs the rematch. I doubt he will ever face GGG now that he's off the juice. Back to ducking again.
Saunders behaviour in leaving Murray jilted at the altar a second time is totally disrespectful to his opponent. And probably stupid too. Canelo won't fight Saunders (or anyone dangerous) and GGG is better off fightng Murata. Let's hope Murray gets compensated properly. Not much worse than 2 late cancellations back to back by the same opponent.
It seems that Golovkin is the only one that still believes in the belts - he doesn't have to - everyone knows that he's the middleweight champion of the world. The WBC belt has been severely devalued so he could throw it back at Sulaiman for him to flog it elsewhere
while he goes off to fight Murata.
Jacobs v Charlo would set up the next one nicely, possibly in the UK if Jacobs comes out on top.

If Golovkin refrains from performing his mandatories against Sergiy Derevyanchenko (IBF) and Jermall Charlo (WBC), in preference to engage in a big money bout against Ryota Murata, then he’s going to end up losing a couple of his belts, which would also result in him abandoning his ambition to become the undisputed middleweight champion of the world.
Sadly though, Tom Loeffler has already strongly suggested that GGG may indeed end up facing Ryota Murata next, if the Canelo bout cannot be made.
It’s highly unlikely that we’ll see a bout between Jermall Charlo and Daniel Jacobs anytime soon – certainly not before the end of the current calendar year, though I’d ultimately love to be proven wrong about this, because it’ll be a great bout.
The more I think about it, the more I suspect that Golovkin will end up retiring pretty soon, with the Kazakh actively seeking to receive one final big payday before hanging up his gloves, which means I doubt we’ll see him engage in a rematch against Daniel Jacobs and nor will he ever face the likes of Sergiy Derevyanchenko, Jermall Charlo and Demetrius Andrade.
Once again, I’d really like to be proven wrong about my suspicions; because I feel that the middleweight division needs a passing-of-the-torch type bout in order to maintain its current status of being one of the best weight classes in boxing.

If GGG wanted that one last payday he would take the fight against Canelo. That's by far the most money he can make. Few percent differences in the split will not change that fact.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑04 Jun 2018, 03:54 If Golovkin refrains from performing his mandatories against Sergiy Derevyanchenko (IBF) and Jermall Charlo (WBC), in preference to engage in a big money bout against Ryota Murata, then he’s going to end up losing a couple of his belts, which would also result in him abandoning his ambition to become the undisputed middleweight champion of the world.

I think GGG values the belts highly. He had to work hard to get them and I think he will fight the mandatory challengers to keep them.
Well see in few months how it's gonna be

Indeed Golovkin worked very hard for those belts. If he's gonna unify with BJS then BIG props to him!boxing_rocks wrote: ↑04 Jun 2018, 12:23I agree, and it may become clear this week who Golovkin is fighting next.Heretic wrote: ↑04 Jun 2018, 07:09 If GGG wanted that one last payday he would take the fight against Canelo. Also I could see GGG trying to unify with BJS in September 2018 then rematch Canelo on Cinco de May 2019. Canelo and his team would have to agree to a 50-50 split.
