There was around 20 comments, 1 page worth of comments. Wes used to change thread titles after 100+ comments and 4 pages in
By all means, I can read that there has been 2-3 people that this has affected. If that's the case, I can create a new thread or someone else can..

He pulled a wes. I don't know why the mods don't just disable the ability to change thread titles

Good fight on paper but PPV is a bit of a joke, does anyone really care enough about this fight to pay for it? I definitely won’t be buying and not at all bothered if I miss the fight altogether. Very strange decision really.
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Joseph Parker - 28 July 2018
PPV is the only way they could put the fight on
Undercard is going to be stacked
These are the best fighters in the division after one took Joshua the distance and one made him pause momentarily
Both exciting knockout artists
50/50
Genuine beef

Yeh, Higgins was saying that Hearn had a big budget for this even he was shocked. Based on PPV sales, I reckon they'll make around £2.5m each.. 50/50 split. His budget will be good to get some names on the undercard. He did mention there will be a world title fight too.
I'm not paying for this. Will watch it in a café..

McDonnell has just lost his
Burnett is signed up the WBSS
Joshia doesn't do undercards
Groves is in the WBSS
Degale?
So the only one left I can think of is yafai and he has just fought.

Just wait until the full card is announced BB.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑07 Jun 2018, 13:16 Good fight on paper but PPV is a bit of a joke, does anyone really care enough about this fight to pay for it? I get the feeling Eddie will pack it out. Kell Brook Vs (someone decent) has been mentioned. Right now there are no decent HW fights scheduled, and I think this one is decent. If it is backed up with an undercard of 50/50 fights then we will see if it warrants the ££££

I am used to people complaining about PPVs now and realise that no matter what some people will always ‘steal’ via streams etc but a man that isn’t willing to pay to see this contest isn’t a boxing fan.
Does anyone here think that tickets to attend the show live should be free?

Wtf? Most of us already pay for Sky Sports + B0xnati0n purely for the boxing coverage - are we supposed to be happy that we have to shell out even more for this? Or do you think that all boxing should be on PPV, and us humble fans should just be grateful, despite no other sports in the UK even doing PPV?leejonesjnr wrote: ↑07 Jun 2018, 16:41 I am used to people complaining about PPVs now and realise that no matter what some people will always ‘steal’ via streams etc but a man that isn’t willing to pay to see this contest isn’t a boxing fan.

If you'd paid your Sky subs to watch football, then they asked for an additional £20 to watch each of the top games, you'd tell 'em to fvck off.

Two of the top heavyweights meet & you lot are too stingy to shell out a measly 20 quid

Mate, people are paying £40+ a month for sky sports anyway, to charge a PPV is a piss take, I can remember years back we had better and bigger fights than this in the free channels
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Joseph Parker - 28 July 2018
I was just taking the piss
I'll be watching on a stream anyway, unless I'm working. And they'll have to have a great undercard to make me want to take the day off.

Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Joseph Parker - 28 July 2018
It would be splendid if all boxing was available at all times for free, but it isn't.
The argument that 'I pay for Sky Sports' doesn't really work. If you pay for Sky Sports then in exchange for your money you are able to watch the output of those channels, not events which are not shown on those channels.
Boxing is a difficult sport to finance as we have got to a situation where the top level competitors command large payments but the audience they attract doesn't generate enough revenue from advertisers on TV platforms and in the case of Sky and other subscription channels the viewing figures don't merit huge percentages of subs being spent on the sport.
Other sports will undoubtedly become PPV based over time. Is MMA on PPVs in the UK yet?
Regardless it has been discussed numerous times on here along with the don't steal content/streaming isn't illegal/blah blah blah so not really any need to do it all again.

wouldn't pay for this
Parker has proven to be too defensive.
if AJ cant break him its unlikely Whyte can.
its a top fight certainly...but has the hallmarks of another stinker.

Anthony Joshua: Dillian Whyte Will Knock Joseph Parker Out!
One would think that Joshua would back the man who took him the distance - but the Olympic gold medal winner believes Whyte will not only come out on top - he expects him to win by knockout. Joshua views Whyte as the bigger puncher and feels that he has more hunger to win.
"Very, very, very good fight," Joshua exclusively told Sky Sports. "If you ask who I'm backing, I'm going with Dillian, and I'm going by knockout as well.
"I feel like Dillian ain't got nothing to lose. He's been screaming out world champions, saying he wants to fight here, he wants to fight there, and I feel like he wants to prove himself.
"Parker is strong, Parker can take a shot, but I feel like in my fight, he was on the back foot and I boxed clever, because I'm trying to set up the big fight with Wilder, so I wanted to box clever, so I could secure the next one, without taking no risks.
"But I feel like Dillian has got nothing to lose, everything to gain. He's going to go in there guns blazing and try and knockout Parker ASAP, secure the win, and get that world title shot."
