When he fought Dmitriy Salita, it was spot the white man. There were loads of Muslims and Jews and loads of scraps as well.
I was at that one mate. Was in same hotel as Kevin Mitchell. There was a lot of coked up Geordies causing shite at that. I was with my ex wife and ended up standing with these local lads and I disappeared to the toilet more than once  She was not happy! Always wondered why that marriage never worked out
I was sat with loads of Jewish dudes from Gateshead. They were scrapping before and after the fight.
There were a lot of NY/NJ dudes in our hotel and they were a pain in the fuckin ringpiece! Two of em come back in to the bar area after the fight and I was sitting having a pint and the barman asks them how their man got on..... Guy said something along the lines of 'he got beat by a lucky punch' and I said 'that must've been three lucky punches then mate because he was on his hole three times and the ring walk was longer than the fight'...... They looked at me and just about turned and left the bar without saying a word    Ignorant fukks....

I didn't know much about Salita prior to the fight but going to the arena I was thinking 'Khans got a job on his hands here' and that was just from purely hearing them all bum up their man here and there..... They weren't short on confidence!

Which ones did you attend then ?
Glasgow, Belfast, Newcastle and Manchester x2 (Barrera and Kotelnik).....
I was at Kotelnik and Barrera,Barrera was a great night with all the sombreros.
I was a Khan fan back then but a bigger Barrera fan since I was a boy! Was a snidey end but great atmosphere. Didn't MAB bring his whole family over. They were all in this wee pocket going mad... Was half expecting to see a donkey in a sombrero in amongst them

One of the best atmospheres at any fight i've been to,the exact opposite to the Kotelnik show which was pretty boring.

Yes definatly you got to sell where yr demographics are same as an irish guy sells bigger with big irish communities local. What did surprise me at liverpool tho was the amount of fans just hanging about for him every day and from all walks of life.He actualy has got that general appeal that you dont see with many people at all. Personlly since this has been announced Iv had a lot of people ringing me for tickets already who hardley ever ring me so i think the whole fame out side of boxing is one of the boxes hes ticked

Exactly, he puts bums on seats because of his world class but flawed skills, promoters dream is khan.

Sheffield wasn’t even half full. MEN had about 6,000 in for Kotelnik!

No idea about Kotelnik as I wasn't there but Sheffield was full. I'd accept that tickets were available, maybe 10%, but saying it wasn't even half full is utter nonsense.

Welborn/Langford re-match (good local seller) and Eggington - so you have a lot of Ticket Sellers on undercard as well. 11,000 for Khan this time to sell.

Welborn v Langford won’t be on that card I wouldn’t have thought, that’ll be a BCB promotion? Besides which the first was in Walsall Town Hall which is a small venue and whilst I didn’t go, I watched it online and there were visible empty seats, so less of a seller than it should be really, good contest that.

they closed the top tier and upgraded tickets for free. How many would fit in the top tier ?,plus there must have been plenty of room in the lower tier to move fans down there.
