Favourite all British fights.....

Post by Stuarty »

What's your favourite all British fight? Doesn't need to be for a British title or whatever just two Brits in a ring.

Macklin v Moore is an obvious choice but a great battle. I also loved the Kevin Mitchell v John Murray fight. Lewis v Bruno was pretty decent and a tense battle as well.

Anyway, what say you?

Macklin v Moore was special. As was Froch v Groves 1, which is the best atmosphere I've experienced live.

Doran v Keeler deserves a mention too, what a crazy fight.

In fact Mitchell has been in some great British scraps. Johannson was good as well. Pity he never got that world strap. Always entertaining.

Eubank - Benn 2 was the most intense atmosphere I can remember.

In recent times, Frampton vs Quigg was up there in atmosphere alone, but the fight itself was so disappointing.

It was really disappointing. Was like a football match where neither team wants to lose! Neither of them committed. Frampton was happy to let Quigg come to him and Quigg wasn't for it especially after that uppercut that broke his jaw (was a lovely shot).

They should've tried to get Quigg for the Windsor Park show next month. I'm sure he'd have been up for it!

Build up wise I loved Degale Groves but especially Haye Mcranelli, it had everything.

In therms of the fight itself Mitchell/Murray, Moore/Rhodes, Froch/Groves I. Eubank/Thompson
