Favourite all British fights.....
What's your favourite all British fight? Doesn't need to be for a British title or whatever just two Brits in a ring.
Macklin v Moore is an obvious choice but a great battle. I also loved the Kevin Mitchell v John Murray fight. Lewis v Bruno was pretty decent and a tense battle as well.
Anyway, what say you?

Macklin v Moore was special. As was Froch v Groves 1, which is the best atmosphere I've experienced live.
Doran v Keeler deserves a mention too, what a crazy fight.

Burns Mitchell was pretty good. Great atmosphere.
Re: Favourite all British fights.....
In fact Mitchell has been in some great British scraps. Johannson was good as well. Pity he never got that world strap. Always entertaining.

Eubank - Benn 2 was the most intense atmosphere I can remember.
In recent times, Frampton vs Quigg was up there in atmosphere alone, but the fight itself was so disappointing.

It was really disappointing. Was like a football match where neither team wants to lose! Neither of them committed. Frampton was happy to let Quigg come to him and Quigg wasn't for it especially after that uppercut that broke his jaw (was a lovely shot).Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑13 Jul 2018, 08:35 Eubank - Benn 2 was the most intense atmosphere I can remember.

They should've tried to get Quigg for the Windsor Park show next month. I'm sure he'd have been up for it!

Sean Murphy vs Gary De Roux, 1991, British featherweight title. What a war!
Re: Favourite all British fights.....
LOVED that fight. The shotnwhochbput Johannson down was a peach.
David Walker v Forum darling Spencer Fearon was a cracker if I remember correctly

His mom was constantly exhorting him to use the jab
I didn't know whether to be impressed or appalled

Eubank-Benn 1
Re: Favourite all British fights.....
Carl Thompson vs Chris Eubank one deserves a mention...
Re: Favourite all British fights.....
Kaylor vs Christie, I was a big Kaylor fan. Reid vs Wharton was good too.
Re: Favourite all British fights.....
Build up wise I loved Degale Groves but especially Haye Mcranelli, it had everything.
In therms of the fight itself Mitchell/Murray, Moore/Rhodes, Froch/Groves I. Eubank/Thompson

One of me mates met him on a night out in Liverpool, and he said pretty much the same thing. Apparently his mates looked rough as fornicate
