If he wins, I have been shown to be an overly critical dick who has read the worth of fighters totally wrong but Burnett seeded Number 1? Over Inoue and Tete strikes me as a bit odd.

I could be wrong on this but I'm not sure it means he's seeded as number 1 - looks like alphabetical order and I seem to remember this year/last year's tournament wasn't ranked as far as seeds were concerned?

he doesnt have a choice if prograis is the top seed

yigit vs baranchyks already made (ibf ordered fight)
reilkh vs troyas already made (wba ordered fight)
prograis gets to pick between the remaining two unseeded (flanagan or martin)

so taylor gets whichever of flanagan or martin that progais didnt choose

Ah ok I didn't realise the mandatory situation. Flanagan fight would be most appealing from a UK perspective.

I see no issue with Burnett being ranked 2 ahead of Tete. Being ahead of Inoue is a bit suspect tho.

If Tete ends up getting Rodriguez in the quarter final I wouldn’t be surprised to see him on the first plane home.

Yeah I thought so too but he was last seen smashing up his car while drunk and in possession of an illegal firearm...in worse news he's signed with DAZN.

Last year the seeds where in order of perceived ability and world rankings.

But alphabetical order?

Tete before Rodriguez in the Bantams

Super Lights are (P)rograis, (T)aylor, (R)elikl and (B)aranchyk

Not sure about which alphabet you were taught but clearly not the same one as me.

dont think the ranked fighters can meet in the quarters, plus i heard it will already be rodriguez vs moloney

you mean you think tete would withdraw from the tournament if he got rodriguez? or that hed lose?

Yeah you are quite right I forgot it was 8 and was getting mixed up with the Super 6.

I think he’d lose that fight.

I didn't realise the size difference between Prograis. I'm not sure that it changes my thoughts on how the fight will go, but it does challenge them.

A lot would argue Taylor. I think Terry is going to give Reggie a tough time, maybe not enough to win, but surely enough to give him a good test. After that fight, it may become clearer who the favourite in the final will be :maybe:
