Sky Sports boxing presenters. It must have took significant effort to find a set of such dislikeable people - Smith, Nelson, Bellew, Froch. Macklin is by far and away the best they’ve got.

The amount of belts nowadays, particularly the WBA situation. Mendoza has continually and completely bullshitted about it as well. One of the worst examples of an organisation putting money ahead of the sport I can think of.

Fighters going for intercontinental and international belts rather than going the Commonwealth/British/European route.

People telling you their take on a fight/fighter when its clear as soon as they open their mouth they genuinely dont know shit about boxing but you just dont even engage with them cause they are so faraway from knowing anything you just nod and let them have their say as it doesn't warrant engaging in chat or even spending your time educating them.....

Don't really hear it from the Brits but American boxers still like giving credit to "God" for their victories

hate how often fighters who were badly robbed get less credit from fans then theyd get if judging had been fair

like, to me its ridiculous to go on that since for example chisora didnt get the decision vs helenius, chis therefore deserves no winners credit and shouldnt be treated like he totally boseed it

doing that legitimized bad bad judging

Does that happen often though? It seems to me that the only fans who don’t give losing fighters credit in those situations are the ones that didn’t actually watch the fight in the first place. Chisora got loads of credit on here for the Helenius fight (but maybe not from a lot of posters on CS who probably just looked at the result rather than watched it).

it happens regularly, not with everyone of course but in those types of cases theres almost always a few ppl doing it. basically they just treat it as a loss, w/o context, or they may even mention the context but act like it doesnt matter

happening right now, someone going on in a negative way that chis has never won as underdog except vs takam, but he obviously shouldve also won vs big rob

its basically loss absolutism

Bizarre that such an outdated tradition endures isn’t it?
Often small hall shows have local strip club employees doing the job, presumably for free advertising, and even prostitutes advertising escort agencies.

When "HYPED YOUNG FIGHTER" loses comprehensively, yet unexpectedly, to a journeyman or nobody, they then re-match and the hype machine gets the win, all reaction is "well, that put that story to bed, can move on now, clearly much better and that was all proven tonight".

"The previous defeat has been avenged"... no it hasn't, you're even.

When boxers get beat i.e trevor berbick vs mike tyson and people try and say sh1t like "tyson would beat ali cause berbick beat ali and tyson just destroyed him" i had a guy say this to me once i just gave him this look as if to say "WTF are you talking about fool".
Worst of it was is this guy is involved in boxing,he is only about 28 now tho, still a thick thing to say tho.

ya, and related to this, the idea if fighter a stops fighter b faster then fighter c did, then fighter a must be better then fighter c

there are all sorts of reasons a superior fighter mayve taken longer to score a stoppage.

"I think the jab is the most important punch in boxing'

'The jab is the most underrated weapon in boxing'

And other versions of the same thing. Stating the obvious to try and sound like technical aficionados.

Every old fighter getting outboxed will always get a Sky Sports commentator using the line "Power is the last thing that leaves you..... blah blah"
