According to Dan, it's in the works.. Gross mismatch!
Only due to Adamek being Polish and Chicago has a good % of Poles living there.
Thoughts on this?

Would Adamek win rounds? Adamek isn't exactly young anymore. Can't see him moving well and boxing around Miller. Miller is pressure fighter. How did Adamek do against Abell?dagilechia wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 04:16 99% this fight will be officially announced wednesday.
I see similar scenario like in Adamek-Molina fight - Adamek outpointing/trying to outpoint Miller and eventually gets stopped late. I dont think it's a huge mismatch. Ortiz-Cojanu, Whyte-Helenius, Wilder-Arreola or Povetkin-Rudenko were, at least on paper, not better
Adamek, since he moved from Bloodworth to Gus Curren and Jakub Chycki, is better prepared and faster than before (for example, in a Szpilka fight he was heaviest in his career and prepared for this fight in a school gym in his hometown village and lived at mom's house). He totally outclassed Abell, i think he had him down 4 times in rounds 2, 6 and 7, looked good but Abell looked vulnerable every time when Adamek attacked, especially when attacked to Abells body. Adamek looked unimpressed by Abells power. Adamek was koed by Molina but in his opinion the fight was stopped prematurely (i think this was a good stoppage but yeah this referre is known for premature stoppages) and if allowed to contiunue he would win this fight since he was wide ahead on the scorecards and it was only 2 rounds left.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 04:20Would Adamek win rounds? Ah. Now I like that fight.dagilechia wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 04:42 But if they really want to make Miller vs Polish fighter, then the best choice is Izu Ugonoh. Now he's not the same fighter that stupidly lost against Breazeale, now he's got an decent trainer that will actually have a tactical plan, not only all in and get back with your shield or on it. And Izu is a smart guy, he will listen to his trainer now.
Most likely scenario. He will want to make a statement and finish it quick. His last 2 fights have gone late.
Adamek will be the best boxer on Miller's resume. But definitely not the best Adamek he will have fought.joshj909 wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 05:04 I can see Miller dropping more rounds than people think. I think he'll win by late stoppage but some of the fight will be competitive at least.
Adamek is the best boxer he will have faced (in terms of pure boxing ability), it's just whether his age and size will be too much to overcome.
Let's face a few facts. The fight is being made by Hearn to kind of showcase Miller. Adamek is still a name, a good name for sure, he's definitely past his prime, I wouldn't call him shot. Also, the fight is being made because he's Polish and Chicago has a good % of Poles, so should attract interest. Adamak will come to fight though.dagilechia wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 05:51 Adamek still has some speed and enough stamina. He's now got some physical strength, but of course Jarrell Miller is a 300lbs buffalo. Adameks problem is rather punching power than psychical strength. And the most deciding factor - his chin. Despite the ko loss to Molina i think that Adameks chin is above average. Miller rather stops his opponents on thier feet by volume punching rather than by one ko punch that puts to sleep. Its winnable for Adamek but the chances are small
This basically sums it all up. Other highly ranked boxers face worse names than Adamek on a regular basis and get less complaints. It ticks all the boxes from a promoter point of view: sells arena tickets and TV viewers; showcases the fighter against a known name; not massive risk of losing; gives Miller an opportunity to run his mouth on mic after his win on the new platform and boost chances of making headline news.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 06:03 Let's face a few facts. I just hope he doesn't run his in the build up and show the former two-weight world champion some respect.joshj909 wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 06:21 This basically sums it all up. It appears that Miller has no shame in what he's willing to say to promote a fight or to try get a fight he doesn't deserve, so i imagine he's going to be dumb enough to criticise Adamek for being small and old and effectively poking holes in any credibility of his win.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 06:31I just hope he doesn't run his in the build up and show the former two-weight world champion some respect.joshj909 wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 06:21 This basically sums it all up. Basically yeh. I agree. A win over Adamek would be much more credible if he shows respect. Talks Adamek up, like he's somewhat of a threat etc. Not saying overdo it like it's a life/death fight, but you're right. Miller is always going to be dumb first.joshj909 wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 06:35It appears that Miller has no shame in what he's willing to say to promote a fight or to try get a fight he doesn't deserve, so i imagine he's going to be dumb enough to criticise Adamek for being small and old and effectively poking holes in any credibility of his win.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 06:31I just hope he doesn't run his in the build up and show the former two-weight world champion some respect.joshj909 wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 06:21 This basically sums it all up. Yeah, that would be decent.dagilechia wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 04:42 But if they really want to make Miller vs Polish fighter, then the best choice is Izu Ugonoh. Yeh. It's no offence to Adamek, but it's a huge step down from his last 2 fights.Pukka Cheese wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 10:49 Can understand not wanting to go to Bulgaria to fight Pulev but to drop down to this......
