Brook, despite his weight struggles, is willing to drop down to the welterweight to make the fight.

“He’s a little bitch to be honest with you, he is. He’s tried every excuse in the book to not make the fight. It’s gonna kill me to make 147-pounds, but I’m willing to get down and make that fight. There’s nowhere else for him to hide in my opinion… What other excuses can he come out with?," Brook told TalkSport Drivetime.

Should Khan win in style, as expected, he is planning to fight again before the year is over.

Khan recently admitted that he prefers to face Manny Pacquiao next - and looks to Brook for next spring.
But Brook wants that fight as soon as possible.

“I’m going to the fight. I think we’re running out of time now, I think this is more or less his last chance to get it on with me.

“I’d love to take the fight at the end of this year. That’s what the world wants to see, Brook vs. Khan. I actually went in the ring for his last fight and he ran out of the ring when I got in. All I want to do is make this fight happen for all the fans.”

I think Bellew should be applauded, not criticised.

Bellew saw right through Haye when he returned in 2016 & challenged him to a fight, ended up having two, exposed Haye for the fraud we all knew he was & got rich whilst doing so.

Nothing wrong with that IMHO.

Brook, on the other hand is seemingly a bit desperate.

I don't blame him for going after Golovkin, as history is littered with WW champs going up to 160 to try & dethrone the champs there, with varying degrees of success, but the way he is chasing Khan is a bit desperate.

Amir has never really wanted this fight, because the cheque probably wasn't large enough & Brook shouldn't be pimping himself out to Khan for a payday.

The fight is now past its sell-by date anyway, largely thanks to Khan's idleness.

The ghost of Amir Khan versus a Kell Brook so scarily weight drained that he’s putting himself in danger is not a fight I want to see

I agree. I’d much prefer to see a Pacman/Khan fight.
And Brook to stay healthy at Light-Middle (Maybe even Middle) and have a good go at trying to win another world title.

To me,i know kell has fought 2 top level fighters but id say kell is the more desperate,he hasnt mentioned any other top WW since beating porter(whuch i thought he lost) apart from khan, there was keith thurman danny garcia manny pacquiao floyd mayweather even a rematch with porter but alls kell mentioned was khan,he has been chasing him(publicly) since just before he won the IBF so me thats desperate.

I read a few comments on here before i wrote this and iv slaughtered bellew on here more times than anyone but cmon people,a domestic level bum? He has won british commonwealth european and WBC titles,a domestic bum doesnt win titles. He was unlucky not beat cleverley the first time, that was a close sd loss. Its not a bashing thread the poster said so lets not bash these guys, kell is an amazing talent btw and he will win another world title regardless of figting amir khan.

Brook is desperate and for good reason. He's a bit stuck with nowhere to go. He clearly doesn't have the appetite to start again at 154. His pull out from the cook fight seems to have been, well, a lie really.

He's desperate to fight Khan cos that's the one big fight that he can go straight into. Other than that, where does he go. I reckon some of the top boys at light middle would jump at the chance of a fight with him.. Hurd, lara, Charlo and to be honest, I wouldn't fancy kells chances against any of them now. Wrong mindset, the hungers gone. He wants a big payday for less risk (sort of agree after ggg and spence)

We know he's desperate because he is willing to go back to 147. It was a mistake for Spence, and I reckon a real struggle for him now. Shame, he's super talented and been my favorite fighter for ages.
