Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew - November 10, 2018
I think Chisora is the only one who can look good with something over his face. It doesn’t work for most people

Yeah, this kinda mask isn't for Bellew. It makes a gangster image, like Chisora has, while Bellew pretends to be local Rocky, a positive character.

Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew - November 10, 2018
The picture's getting clearer by the hour. I like Usyk's relaxed confidence.
Bellew will need to land heavy. It will be fascinating to see how he tries to go about it.
I can still recall how so many thought Haye would destroy him before their first fight. Some even said the same for the second fight.
Of course boxing revisionism being what it is, now declares that Haye was a washed up old man all along.
All so clear now, of course. If Bellew wins tomorrow night, you can expect an overnight revision of Usyk's standing not seen since Tyson v Douglas.
Usyk is a good technician no doubt, but he's not Teflon coated. I get the feeling he's made for Bellew.
Something about this fight rings of Benn v McLennan. I still have it near 50/50% with the edge for Usyk, but if it gets nasty it will be Belkew, if someone gets stopped it will be Usyk.
But, as they say, this is boxing. Anything can happen, and that's why we will be watching.

I won't say so. McClellan was supposedly a damaged fighter prior to that bout.Thomastearns wrote: ↑09 Nov 2018, 14:21 Something about this fight rings of Benn v McLennan. Usyk will wear Bellew down and take him out between round 8 and 10. I have little doubt.

In most cases for a PPV, he has a world title on the undercard. But most his fighters have recently had World title shots in the US.
Causing his UK cards to be thinned out.

Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew - November 10, 2018
I've always stuck with an 9th round KO by Usyk.
At heavyweight I would probably go with Usyk by decision.
But I feel strongly that the 13 lb. or so weight loss will leave Bellew ineffectual. Drained.
His usually heavy shots will carry little impact, so even if he lands them, Usyk will be unbothered.
Usyk should be pitching a shutout or near one when he finally batters a weak Bellew to the canvas.
Like you, I have little doubt. I consider it a sure thing.
Amazing that so many polls I see on boxing sites have Bellew the predicted winner by around 60%
Patriotic support should only go so far. Reality has to set in. Usyk is in another league than Bellew.

I'm far from convinced that the 'Lomachenko style' will be so effective against hard hitting HWs.
At CW it's almost a 50/50 fight. Soon find out what kind of drama Bellew is starring in tonight.
