Yade is a decent sort of fella, I think he's been put into a bad position by the team around him. His interview with ifl the other day was not good, not good at all.

Warren only today has said Yarde is on the world stage, has bypassed the British field and isn't going to step back to fight someone like Burton. What a load of bollocks that is.

It's a good fight.

Not just going stale, but bowling guys over does nothing to improve defence or ring IQ for the future.
Guys that get matched too soft for too long tend to struggle the first time they are actually tested.
I'm all for the sort of route Taylor, Joshua and currently Cheeseman took.
yardes only been a pro 3 years (after 12 ams)......only 2 years in he already stopped a guy who drew for the ebu 1 match before

hasnt been that slow

ppl have different standards for yarde even though he had very lmted am background. compared to most hes been moved totally fine...fast even

I guess you have a fair point Jammy. Maybe my expectations are too high. He just looks so good, way better than the guys he is matched against :maybe:

FWank has been judged a lot of careers perfectly over the years and you're right he's not been matched THAT slow, but still - just wanna see him in a real fight :box:

Why wait so late to match him in the first place? Unprofessional!

Agreed. His interview was a little uncomfortable to watch. He was trying to make out that everyone else was stupid but in reality he came across as deluded.

Guys like Burton aren’t going to get him higher world rankings but Burton will be coming to win and it would generate more publicity and sell more tickets than any of his other previous fights.

It’s all well and good not fighting Burton etc. if you’re fighting guys like Murat, Caparello, Bosel, but saying Burton’s not good enough and then lining up Duffus and fighting Sek & Sequeira is frustrating.
