• Anthony Joshua faces Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium on the 13th April, 2019 and will then engage in another mandatory defence of his title in September against Kubrat Pulev (IBF) or Oleksandr Usyk (WBO)
I reckon the following may happen:
• Deontay Wilder will perform a mandatory defence of his WBC title against Dominic Breazeale
• Dillian Whyte will be removed from the WBC’s rankings, due to challenging AJ for one of the other versions of the world heavyweight championship
I strongly suspect that the WBC will find a way to appease the complaints filed by both Fɍȁnk Wȁɍɍȅn and the BBBofC, by ordering a final eliminator between Tyson Fury and Luis Ortiz (as the Cuban was previously ordered to face Dillian Whyte in another WBC-mandated eliminator).
The winner will instated as the new mandatory challenger to the WBC world heavyweight championship and will become Wilder’s next opponent, after Breazeale. 'The Bronze Bomber' won't be allowed to participate in an interim voluntary title defence. Instead he'll have to face the winner of the Fury-Ortiz bout.
So assuming that this scenario plays out, because there’s every chance it will, then what are your predictions for a potential bout between Tyson Fury and Luis Ortiz?
