Re: Hearn (Barry) says no to 50/50 split AJ/Fury
Parker got about 35% ok he had the belt but Fury is a much bigger name, all involved will earn a fortune the PPV will break records in the UK, tickets will be double the usual, Fury should get at least 40%.
Re: Hearn (Barry) says no to 50/50 split AJ/Fury
Would Fury give his purse to charity again? If so I think AJ should honour a 50-50 split knowing that the money Fury would earn would be going to good causes. How much cash does AJ want after he retires anyway?
Re: Hearn (Barry) says no to 50/50 split AJ/Fury
Martin got big bucks too, but both because Hearn thought they were straightforward fights so they were willing to buy the belts.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 09:13 Parker got about 35% ok he had the belt but Fury is a much bigger name, all involved will earn a fortune the PPV will break records in the UK, tickets will be double the usual, Fury should get at least 40%.
With Fury there is everything to lose and little to win, it will only be worth it for the Hearns if they are getting the lions share of the purse.

Maybe but if AJ doesn't fight either Wilder or Fury soon, the public will turn against him.Coco wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 09:32Martin got big bucks too, but both because Hearn thought they were straightforward fights so they were willing to buy the belts.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 09:13 Parker got about 35% ok he had the belt but Fury is a much bigger name, all involved will earn a fortune the PPV will break records in the UK, tickets will be double the usual, Fury should get at least 40%.

Re: Hearn (Barry) says no to 50/50 split AJ/Fury
I can see Hearn stretching it out for another year, defend against Whyte, Pulev and Miller, then he will take Fury or Wilder, preferably if one has just lost badly, when the fight can no longer be resisted and also when it will make the most moneyNightmare Roy wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 09:36Maybe but if AJ doesn't fight either Wilder or Fury soon, the public will turn against him.Coco wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 09:32Martin got big bucks too, but both because Hearn thought they were straightforward fights so they were willing to buy the belts.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 09:13 Parker got about 35% ok he had the belt but Fury is a much bigger name, all involved will earn a fortune the PPV will break records in the UK, tickets will be double the usual, Fury should get at least 40%.

I dont think they can negotiate with Fury.
If there is a disagreement about money he will be on twitter demanding bareknuckle in a car park or on terrestrial tv as part of charity event.

Yeah and trying to lowball him into saying no if they don't really want the fight might backfire too. He might just take it.Pukka Cheese wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 11:44 I dont think they can negotiate with Fury.

If Fury wants 50% and wouldn't take the fight at say 40%, then he is the only greedy one in this equation. He told Eddie a while back he wanted 60% and to walk in last. I like both guys, but sanity has to prevail.

Fury will take the low-ball offer if Hearn offers the fight. There'll be no bluffing from Fury. This isn't about money for Fury. Besides the bulk of the money comes from PPV buys, not purse.

Hearn said before Parker fight that he’s always overpaid AJ’s opponents more than they should have gotten. It’s all about the money with these guys.Coco wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 09:32Martin got big bucks too, but both because Hearn thought they were straightforward fights so they were willing to buy the belts.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 09:13 Parker got about 35% ok he had the belt but Fury is a much bigger name, all involved will earn a fortune the PPV will break records in the UK, tickets will be double the usual, Fury should get at least 40%.

Easy for guys to talk about someone else giving up millions out if pride or some bizarre fairness, or for gratitude to Fury for beating Klitschko first (???).
Wilder throws out £50m offers then takes his next fight for £4m, Wilder hasn't earneearned £50m in his career so that's just cloud cuckoo stuff.
Funny how easy it is for Fury and Wilder to fight each other for much less but when the cash cow walks in they all want as big a piece of it as they can get but manage to make it look like the other side being greedy!

What he meant was.. he’s done it in the past and he doesn’t like doing it and doesn’t want to do it.Coco wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 20:27So he is going to overpay Fury?Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 18:55Hearn said before Parker fight that he’s always overpaid AJ’s opponents more than they should have gotten. He has said a lot of things that never happened.

I think it changed to “some” of his purse - no amount was specified.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑07 Dec 2018, 17:10I know he has said it.

Everyone keeps stating that AJ is the bigger draw, most popular etc. as if it's a fact. I don't get this.
Sure - he's doing the big numbers - but isn't that due to Fast Eddie being the Simon Cowell to his Jedward ?
Fury is fascinating, a huge personality and has fought on C5. AJ is certainly less liked on here.
With the Sky platform AJ is big news - but couldn't MatchRoom make more out of "THE GYPSY KING" ?
AJ is wanting Wilder first - that's a surprise...

Nothing wrong with the man with 3.5 belts wanting the last big belt.
Re: Hearn (Barry) says no to 50/50 split AJ/Fury
Yeah they've always said they want all the belts. Personally I'd rather see Fury v AJ but I think it'll be Wilder v Fury next summer. I can't see AJ fighting either of them in April.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑07 Dec 2018, 17:47It is a fact.skanksta wrote: ↑07 Dec 2018, 17:28And not only this, but...Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 09:36

I like the idea of AJ getting iced out of a fight with either two. Hearn believes he has the power and I'm sick of Hearn.Stuarty wrote: ↑07 Dec 2018, 17:52Yeah they've always said they want all the belts. I don't think Hearn had any plans of fighting either next anyway right enough....
