Is Joshua the best Heavyweight ever

Re: Is Joshua the best Heavyweight ever
Vitaly did what tyson and holyfield couldnt.
Tyson won maybe 1 rd and was schooled, i exoected more from (i know he was far from his prime but yet still he shouldve dine more). Holyfield was well trained in perfect shape and couldnt do nothing, rarly won a 1 single round. The judging was a farce. Vitaly was winning rounds in dominant fashion. Vitaly wss taller had similar reach better chin was simply tall and strong and mentality tough and lennox couldnt deal with that. Out of his breath, bloody nose. Close to prime holyfield was never close to doing such damage.
Re: Is Joshua the best Heavyweight ever
Holyfield won more rounds against Lennox in the 2nd fight than Vitali won against Lewis, and he wasn't stopped by Lennox. He was past his best by the time he fought Lennox, Vitali was absolutely prime against a not prime Lewis, and he still couldn't win.Wuuupa wrote: ↑22 Dec 2018, 15:32Vitaly did what tyson and holyfield couldnt.

Vitaly wasnt stopped. He wanted to continue, his stamina was still good, leading on points. Lewis was rubbing his gloves and even his cornraw hairs into vitalys face, to open more cuts, such illegal tactics should normaly result in points deduction even dq. Lewis was out if his breath and lucky the ref didnt let vitaly continue. Holyfield wasnt far from his prime, he was in tip top shape. Prime holyfield lost to bowe (who was inferior to lewis, bowe knew, why than the trash drama). Holyfield simply not on lewis or vitalys level. To much height and weight difference

Whether he "wanted to continue" or not doesn't matter. He didn't make it the distance because he was cut the f*ck up, and lost. Re: Is Joshua the best Heavyweight ever
Every heavyweight thread ends up with the "Vitali was winning" stuff.
You can win 11 rounds but if you get stopped in the twelfth it matters not one bit to the result

Re: Is Joshua the best Heavyweight ever
Besides the truth of the matter is that Lewis was coming on from the prior round through the time of the stoppage. Vitaly was a replacement for I think Kirk Johnson. Lewis didn't train very hard for Johnson, and his hubris in taking on Vitali almost backfired on him. At the time, a proper in shape Lewis would have handled the older Klitchko much more handily.

Winning on points. Wouldve won. Was the better man. Punches cut but illegal tactics like rubbing your gloves head inside the cuts made it this badgilgamesh wrote: ↑22 Dec 2018, 16:25Whether he "wanted to continue" or not doesn't matter. Re: Is Joshua the best Heavyweight ever
...as long as the stoppage was legit and I thought it WAS, everything else was/is irrelevant...I also had that feeling that Lewis was slowly but surely taking it over in the later rounds leading to a stoppage but that again is irrelevant...Vitali did a great job, that was probably one of his best fights but that loss was not controversial imo..

I tend to think that if all the great heavyweights had a lengthy round robin tournament where they all fought each other repeatedly, Lennox Lewis would come out on top. The most rounded blend of skill, size and intelligence.

Well...whether he's Kalan or just some new douche that acts exactly like Kalan, it's too Kalan-esque for my taste, so I'm gonna call him Kalan, and show him the door.
