Seriously! LMAO! It's utterly absurd! But rules are rules. Two debates here I guess.

Doesn't colours relate to football shirts etc to try and avoid those allegences causing trouble?

Maybe that is why he was asked to remove it, to prevent possible trouble between any republicans that may be present supporting Carl?

All the Right wingers are having a melt down because of this, making out there is the usual grand conspiracy for it rather than the reasons previously given the circumstances in Northern Ireland (and like the brexit process showing there general ignorence of what is going on)

Personally the waist coat looks hideous, and should have been ejected for crimes against fashion

Yeah same, but according to an article posted on another thread, the venue extended the policy to cover national colours as well & it was stated in advance.

Ruthless-RKO wrote: 23 Dec 2018, 15:29 The dress code says no colours. States clearly on the ticket too. It was nothing to do with the flag and what the flag represents. It’s was that it was colourful, which wasn’t allowed.

Apparently he was told to remove it, which he did, 3 times and each time put it back on.
Dress code? It's not fcking tea with the Queen :stop:
The dress code was put in place due to the Northern Ireland tensions so that political statements couldn’t be made. The venue usually allows colours and flags.
They didn't allow flags for Haye v ruiz for some reason, so when I read the story just assumed it was always their policy.

Would have definitely taken no colours to mean football kits/scarves or whatever not any national flag. That said someone has said it was clearly stated about national flags on the ticket so anyone going shouldn't have had any doubt in that case.

I mean I don't wanna grass but I think the bloke who won the main event may have had a flag in his dressing room...

People should represent the boxer not the flag. They should support him as a representative in the sport not from where they come from.

Literally no one has ever been arrested for saying their English, ever, as it's not a criminal offence

People read the daily mail far too much lol. It melts their mind and turns their brain in to a pea
