The fair percentage splits, Joshua vs. Wilder ?

Yes, but, I feel Hearn will offer no more than 30 %, and Wilder will not accept nothing less than 45 %.............candyslim wrote: ↑29 Dec 2018, 15:09Yup. Can't argue with that.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑29 Dec 2018, 09:17 I think we've done this thread a million times. My answer is always 60/40 Joshua.

If you offer a split less than Joseph Parker you aren't serious about making the fight.

Re: The fair percentage splits, Joshua vs. Wilder ?
60/40 for the sake of making this fight. Wilder don't deserve that though
Re: The fair percentage splits, Joshua vs. Wilder ?
I get the impression Hearn and Joshua realize they can't afford to play hardball and wait for Wilder to come around to the realization that the pair are the only high-stakes game in town. Wilder (or Joshua) could lose his title and the fight never get made. That would leave a nasty taste as I'm sure they both know all too well.
Re: The fair percentage splits, Joshua vs. Wilder ?
have u done a study of what every other ref wouldve done? he was hardly a limp noodle with his eyes shut and obviously out cold, he was actually looking up at the ref and it was the last round, that knockdown gets massively exaggerated , and fury obviously wasnt so terribly hurt because he was getting the better of wilder shortly afterRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑29 Dec 2018, 12:18Yeh he should have probably lost that on points, but any other ref and it would have been a Wilder KO12.. let’s be honest. Everyone at home probably thought it was over at that point.dagilechia wrote: ↑29 Dec 2018, 06:53 between 60-40 and 2/3-1/3 but Wilder will probably lose his belt (he should have lost it already a month ago) in the next fight so between 75-25 and 80-20
anyway 60-40ish aj seems about right

Completely agree. The impact was quite big. He’s a big dude. Also, I dont think Wilder connected with his full power on that. Fury was already half way down when Wilder hit the last shot. Much less impact.jamamb wrote: ↑29 Dec 2018, 15:58have u done a study of what every other ref wouldve done? he was hardly a limp noodle with his eyes shut and obviously out cold, he was actually looking up at the ref and it was the last round, that knockdown gets massively exaggerated , and fury obviously wasnt so terribly hurt because he was getting the better of wilder shortly afterRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑29 Dec 2018, 12:18Yeh he should have probably lost that on points, but any other ref and it would have been a Wilder KO12.. let’s be honest. Re: The fair percentage splits, Joshua vs. Wilder ?
Anything from 50/50 to 60/40 Joshua is fair I'd say.
If Joshua wants more than that they're being unreasonable. However I'd accept even a 70/30 split if I were Wilder, but I'd have it written into the contract that IF I win, the rematch is a 90/10 or 80/20 split in MY favor. How you like that asshole?
Maybe he'd be more willing to do 60/40 or something then

Re: The fair percentage splits, Joshua vs. Wilder ?
When it's massive, life changing revenue then I think 50/50 is good enough. Percentage points shouldn't stop top level fighters from going at it! Both fighters should be willing to get in the ring and prove themselves. It shouldn't get to the stage where it turns in to an egotistical dick measuring contest!

Re: The fair percentage splits, Joshua vs. Wilder ?
From the fans perspective percentage splits should not be our concern.
The two teams will thrash out a deal that suits both parties and whatever split they're happy with is 'fair'.
Some will argue that Joshua is the main man and that Wilder is not even recognised in his own gym, but that's irrelevant as he has the WBC belt which Joshua wants, so without Wilder and the threat he brings, along with his trinket, there would be no superfight, so he is in a pretty powerful position.

Re: The fair percentage splits, Joshua vs. Wilder ?
why do ppl always say that? of course the financial game is of concern to fans because thats a huge part of whether the fights we want actually happen, whether aj vs wilder or aj vs fury
Re: The fair percentage splits, Joshua vs. Wilder ?
..if both gentlemen/their teams care so much about their respective fans, both parties should be ready to make compromises..the idea of reversing the splits in the rematch makes sense imo..

Christ 60-40 in the lead? .. are those 15 being funded by the #wilderiwillmakeyourichcampaign #plc
Wilder brings little to the table .. apart from the belt himself and a few supporters which he'll probably have a bigger entorouge than fans tbf...
Joshua brings himself three world titles and the crowd..

@ajwesty18:
You aren't wrong but it's now becoming apparent what I suspected was the case all along, that Wilder really doesn't want to fight Joshua, or at least until he's ready to cash out. When I say 'Wilder' that might be more Haymon, Dibella, Finkel and Co.. "Joshua's a coward. He and his team keep reaching out, they beggin' for the fight, snigger, snigger.". Yes Deontay the planet's baddest men are always otherwise occupied when these cowards beg them for a fight
If Joshua wants that last belt, or rather if his heart is set on taking it away from Wilder instead of the next holder of the belt, then Wilder has to be made an offer which is enough to convince his team that the risk is worth taking. 50/50 might do it. Joshua can afford to give Wilder what he wants. How badly does Joshua want it?
What I don't get is if Wilder couldn't beat Fury coming off a long lay-off and 2+ years of partying what makes him think a fully restored Fury is going to be an easier proposition than Joshua? He could be selling his belt on the cheap.

Re: The fair percentage splits, Joshua vs. Wilder ?
I tend agree that one belt is worth more due the being the last belt for the unification.. however l believe wilder hasn't got much movement left or muscle for a better deal..if there's a rematch forced against Fury then I'm afraid AJ may be fighting fury for the last belt..which would a barn stormer and that would be more of a 60 40 split .. wilder could cash In against either fury or aj ... but tbh aj Is the cash cow but hel get a reasonable price for fury 2
Re: The fair percentage splits, Joshua vs. Wilder ?
Davison says to make an AJ/Wilder fight, the split should be 50/50.

There is no way that it SHOULD be 50/50 but it might NEED to be, if Joshua wants to make it happen.
