between 60-40 and 2/3-1/3 but Wilder will probably lose his belt (he should have lost it already a month ago) in the next fight so between 75-25 and 80-20

I think we've done this thread a million times. My answer is always 60/40 Joshua.

At least a million times. I don't care about how much they make but I wouldn't sign for a flat fee. Too much upside on this fight

Yes, but situation has changed, the match Wilder-Fury happened.
The flat fee is not fair, absolutely, and Wilder shouldn't accept it.

Yeh he should have probably lost that on points, but any other ref and it would have been a Wilder KO12.. let’s be honest. Everyone at home probably thought it was over at that point.

then it would be a bad ref decision.

No one would have argued if it was stopped tbh. But now that we have seen the outcome and seen what happened after, we’re all rightly praising Reiss.

Ref did a good job but in fact he did nothing special, he did what he had to do. It was the last round and the fighter that was down was ahead on the cards, he should give him a chance and he did, anything other than that would be a bad decision.

btw i am against waving off the fight before the 10 count. i think the 10 count should be mandatory, even when it's obvious that the fighter is knocked out and will not get up to continue.

in Fury vs Wilder and for example Glowacki vs Huck refs did what they should always do.

Unless they’re clearly out on their feet or ko’d unconscious.

imo even then, just for the record, just for no controversy. knocked down = 10 count, always (except when fighter obviously needs immediate medical attention)

Like Lucas Browne against Whyte?

What would you have done for Whyte-Chisora?

well, maybe you are right, when fighter is 100% unconscious, not even moving, then it should be waved off, but sometimes fighters are counted even when they're knocked out cold and unconsciuos, like Szpilka was vs Wilder it was like 5 or 6 count, and thats what i would do for Whyte Chisora

Those counts get waived off halfway through.

No.
This is a sport where serious injury or death occurs far too often. I'd rather a ref error in stopping a fight a tad too soon than to see a tragedy

but those tragedies almost never happen after a one punch KO or just a KO, usually they happen after a war when fighters show granite chins and after beatings on the ropes

I still stick to my opinion.
I love this sport more than any other sport and admire and respect each athlete that risks their life.
But I do not want to see Any One end a career or a life to satisfy fans thirst for blood

i get your point, i do not want to see another McClellan, Abdusalamov, Colon or Stevenson or any brain damages/deaths in the ring too, unfortunately this will happen as long as boxing will exist :verysad:

I've changed my view since the last of these polls. After Fury/Wilder, AJ/Wilder should be 60-40. AJ is the complete fighter here and has more or less dominated his opposition. PS: Should also have rematch clause.
