PBA: Why don't you just do what they ask? Go through BBBoC and get your records done in accordance with BoxRec's requirements. If they provide linkage with what you ask, how many more org's will they have to accommodate. Just do it.
Hello oogiebe,
"go through the BBBofC" - it doesnt work like, governing bodies are completely separate entities from one another.
The promoter of the event has to be licensed by us along with all of the officials. When we sanction an event, our role is to take control and officiate every aspect of the event (before, during, after).
We take on that responsibly and therefore it is our duty to ensure the safety and well being of each boxer as if an incident is to happen, it is us who must answer.
Therefore, getting another governing body involved is simply out of the equation as they were not working the event so is nothing to do with them.
This leads on to the point that no governing body has exclusive rights to a country (except in the USA where each state has an athletic state commission who have constitutional power in enforce state law. It is against Federal Law to hold a boxing event without the state commission sanctioning the event). In Germany, we have 5 governing bodies minimum running events along side one another, BoxRec record all of them, proving BoxRec have no problem with multiple governing bodies running events with one country.
Keeping this in mind, when it comes to the UK (only), for some reason, boxrec are giving BBBofC exclusive rights so that only BBBofC events are listed on boxrec, regardless of another governing body running an event within the UK, meaning a fully licensed event from a globally recognised governing body is just ignored and not documented by 'boxing's official record keeper' when running an event in the UK. This is such a major issue and huge misrepresentation of boxing as boxrec are actually portraying a completely false and manipulated outlook yet claiming they are 100% factual.
BoxRec have openly stated above that they 'ONLY report what the BBBofC send' for UK events. This level of exclusivity for a governing body is completely unheard of bearing in mind how boxrec record the results given to them by multiple governing bodies (including us) from events happening in a single country, yet only allow BBBofC events on Boxrec in the UK. You can only assume that there some sort of financial incentive in it for boxrec acting this way towards BBBofC and giving them this level of exclusivity.
"how many more org's will they have to accommodate." - BoxRec list the results from our events in all other countries. This isnt an issue regarding if they will list our events as they already do, it is an issue regarding why they do not list when the event takes place in the UK.
Thanks
