Jennifer Lopez will never make 10 and a half stone, she is carrying plenty of extra weight, also she is well past it too.

Good news. If you're taping it just remember to record the two programmes after it to make sure it doesn't cut off after round 4.

Is this for the actual, real, genuine, bona fide WBA 147 title?

Because lots of people are walking around today convinced that they saw Pacman retain the WBA welter title by beating Broner :maybe:

Is Manny the 'regular' champ or is that yet another belt of the deluded and ridiculous WBA? :maybe:

Honestly, 4 orgs is a f'cking nightmare enough without these utter cretins splitting their own titlists even further! Drives me mad, I know its just a belt and a name of a title but you can argue in work or the pub about this and someone can google 'proof' that so and so is the real world champion. And they are NOT the real champ but you need to spend so much time explaining this sh1t to casual fans that I lose the will to live let alone tell them that (just for example) Rocky Fielding has not lost his world title because he never bloody had one in the first place! Aaaaghhhh

This is for the full title, yes. Manny is the 'regular' champion. Totally agree regarding the regular/interim titles, ridiculous.

I thought so but the media conveniently forget to add the 'interim' word when they're talking about the event. Is there any other major sport that does this? I can't think of one. In fact how many other major sports have multiple world governing bodies? It is insane. Tennis, cricket and golf don't have a world championship tournament as such but they all have a ranking system so at least we know who is number one in the world but most sports are quite adamant who their world champion(s) is/are. The mainstream and trade media could start to sort it out but they are not interested.

Rant over :witzend:

First fight in 2 years for Thurman so you do wonder how he is after the injuries and ringrust but still cant see Lopez giving him too many problems, I thought Thurman deserved the win in the in the unification with Garcia in his last fight, I rate him a lot, I don't think ive seen Lopez since he was wrongly stopped by Berto, I thought he was winning that fight up until Berto put him down twice, the ref waved it off after second KD without a count, shocking reffing although that was 4 years ago now

Cant see Lopez winning this at all, if he can start fast and not allow Thurman to get going then could be interesting but I see Thurman comfortably ouboxing him before stopping him in the middle rounds

Unbeaten rising prospect Stephen Fulton and welterweight contender Miguel Cruz will step into action in separate undercard attractions on Saturday, January 26 as part of an exciting night presented by Premier Boxing Champions from Barclays Center, the home of BROOKLYN BOXING™.

Cruz (17-1, 11 KOs) will take on Colombia's Luis Florez (24-11, 20 KOs) in a six or eight round welterweight attraction while Fulton (14-0, 6 KOs) faces Colombia's Marlon Olea (13-3, 12 KOs) in an eight-round super bantamweight showdown.

Dirrell and Yildirim for the vacant title is awful. Am I right in saying Benavidez is due a shot when he returns? Hope he's back soon and takes the belt back because the other 2 are shite.

Btw, what's the point of Smith's diamond belt? I mean, what's the point of any of that super duper/regular/interim/emeritus/champion in recess bollocks... but specifically with Smith's, did they give any justification or did they just want some sort of WBC belt in the WBSS?

Right guys..

I checked the schedule for tonight..

ITV4
Big Fight Night Live
1:00am-4:00am (3 hours )

They are showing 3 fights. It SHOULD finish before 4am, as long as there are no delays and who knows, if previous fights end early, they won’t wait too long for the next fight.

Now.. I have a feeling.. that it might.. just might.. go past 4am..

Usually New York main events are around 3am..

If THIS CARD goes PAST the scheduled end time on the event, ITV will really need to review this and just have it set to 1am-5am in the future. Because it seems everyone is missing out on half the main event, the fight that we all actually want to see.

Enjoy the fight guys.

Btw, how many of my fellow Brits are actually watching this live?

Saw this before. So if I don’t buy DeGale-Eubank, I can’t watch the Dirrell-Yildrim?

Fučks sake!!!
This seems a fair enough deal to me !

I'm trying to imagine the subset of UK viewers that are desperate to see Dirrell vs Yildrim, but adamant they won't pay £16.95 for DeGale vs CEJ. :witzend:
