Beating a faded never-was in Brook would be bigger than beating a faded ATG, former p4p #1 or #2, 8 weight champion in Manny ? Ok.
If he actually beats Brook it would be. He didn't actually beat Pac. He was given a decision because the fight was in his home country. He lost that fight anywhere else in the world.
Ok but you said ‘win’, which he did, not ‘beat’ which he didn’t (according to you)
A win you clearly didn't deserve isn't a win in my book.

That fight wasn't close. It's not even a matter of opinion. Either you know Pac won that fight or you're wrong, and I'm not even a fan of Pacquiao.

It was 116-112 Pac at best for Horn.

If you want to see a good scrap , you don't always have to put the two top dogs together , what you need is two guys who even if they can't fight think they can , and then what do you have, two evenly matched guys coming to fight . Ala Brook and Horn .
When i read this personaly i thought Yeh , i'd like this one , i see it has two evenly matched over acheivers , and my thoughts are , Horn was a hard working over acheiver who put his bollocks on the line , Brook is a cherry picking over acheiver who thought he was up there with the big boys and had his bollocks chopped off when he tried ,

Yep , thought this is a good fight , then thought about it more and concluded , Brook will not want it , excuse will be i want big fights , and he'll pick some unknown latvian , while he waits for his cash out fight with Khan ,, Horn by the way would beat KHAN EASY , purely by size and agresion , and considering Brook is the same size as Horn , it does sort of tell you why Brook wants the fight but does'nt want the reydration clause ,

For the life of me i just can't see how or why Brook is popular in any shape or form

Bit harsh on Brook isn't it ?

He was good. Really good.
Then he didn't get the fights he wanted/needed at the right time, so instead of continuing to feast on Gavin and JOJO he jumped up two weight divisions to take on a monster. Then he took on Spence - who is surely gonna prove to be seriously good - and was winning til he fell apart due to a facial injury. Even that was possibly caused by being so brave as to fight GGG in the first place.

If it is to fill a stadium it would have to be in Brisbane.
Brook could maybe fill a stadium for Khan or PacMan or whatever, but against HORN ?!
Surely Kell is a bigger coup for the Aussies to watch in a stadium than Horn in the UK.
That makes sense👍

I had Horn winning the Pac fight.

All this controversy comes from Teddy Atlas trying to get some limelight.

Horn against Brook is a competitive fight.
Brook is the classier but I can see Horn having the better workrate.
I’ve picked Horn Points.

That would be my pick too.
For a mild mannered primary school teacher, Horn is a tough as nails - and he has "the dog"
Too tough for Brook to despatch or even deter. sure Brook will win the first 4 rounds, after that Horn will break him.

Brook has few options.

Looking at either Beefy later in the year, but likely Jessie Vargas next.

Doubt they want Horn.

Wouldn't want Vargas at 147......... Horn would be the better fight at 154. Brook would be much stronger. Vargas would out work him at 147 with him struggling to get down to it, Horn would walk on to everything and hopefully Brook would stop him

Decent enough fight for Brook, being that Amir keeps bottling it.

Not sure it's a stadium fight though. Hearn would really need to hype up the 'Horn beat Pac' angle.

Good post. Not sure anyone thinks Kell is really popular outside of Sheffield though.
