LL hunted Bowe down at every oppertunity. He went directly to his press conferences to ask him for the fight..... Bowe called him a faggot. Lewis also had s guy in a chicken suit hang round Bowe to coax him. The fight at the time would have been a mega fight, imo Bowe knew Lewis had his number and Rock Newman was never going to let that happen. It’s a shame. As for Joshua I believe he is being padded by giving out stupid offers of money. If Matchroom are so sure AJ is going to win then do it 50/50 just for one fight then he has the belt. As AJ said himself it’s not about the money he has enough of that!........ can he not just fight 50/50 for one damn fight..... apparently not!

Putting Lennox‘s dress sense, choice of opponent, career etc to one side. Would people not agree with the gist of what he’s saying? I do. I understand that Fury has complicated things a bit by gatecrashing the top table. At the same time, it’s time for Josh to meet the WBC champion. If Tyson and Wilder rematch, then he can meet the winner.

Joey Dawejko is 5ft 10in and fat. Jarrell Miller got a draw with him.
The people are demanding Joshua-Miller.

You mean not fighting the opponent immediately.

The plan was to milk the belts, then fight Lewis. The WBC were getting in the way.

You know, like how Lewis put off fighting David Tua and instead milked his belts versus Grant and Botha?

You know, like how the WBA were getting in the way of his Grant gimme, so he gave up the WBA belt and never fought Ruiz.

You know, like how the IBF were getting in the way of his Tyson rematch gimme, so he gave up the IBF belt and never fought Byrd.

Bowe of course wasn't expected to lose the Holyfield rematch, and that threw a spanner in the works.

You know, like how Lewis and Bowe signed to fight, Lewis not being expected to lose the McCall match, but he did and thus once again a spanner was thrown in the works.

Actually, why don't you know any of this? It's really basic, widely publicised stuff that was very easy to follow. Some of the people on here sound as if they stopped watching boxing in December 1992 and suddenly resumed doing so yesterday.

Sigh.

He’s not wrong that Joshua should fight Wilder. But it’s Wilder who needs to be taking a look at himself, not Joshua.

Wilder is the one with a piss poor resume.
Wilder is the one who has only faced 2 decent opponents (very nearly getting ko’d by one of them and getting a gift draw against the other).
Wilder is the one who can’t sell tickets for sh!t but keeps insisting on a 50/50 split against a guy who sells out Wembley stadium.

Ah yeah, I get it. Why have a go at Josh instead of Deontay. Lennox is like that though tbf, he can be prickly about other top guys.

I thought you were a normal poster, not an argumentative dipshvt. For that I'm sorry. Again, I don't care about sanctioning bodies doing their money grabs and stripping of belts. No one was ducking a Ruiz; or a Byrd. They just weren't money fights.
WBA let Lewis face Grant due to its money-making potential. Akinwande was the WBA's #1 contender but was ill, so they proposed Ruiz in case, but Quiet Man's promoter challenged the decision in court and they took the title from Lennox. He didn't take Byrd as a challenger because he believed King was setting him up a rematch with Tyson, in talk after Mike destroyed Etienne
The stadium was half empty you loon. 25000 attended the Lewis-Bruno fight... more than 50000 less than AJ-Wlad
Why calling me "loon", for a mistake that wasn't on that post? Like that even bothers me :OhYes:

If AJ convincingly becomes undisputed, geography does not matter. If he wants to become GLOBAL, he sure has to travel more. Simple as that, instead of calling legends "old geezers" while you have accomplished a bit of him

Against Bruno in Cardiff, while retaining the WBC title. I know Joshua has sold a lot more in UK, but Lewis had his foreign successes still when he was a starter. Right or not, AJ has to go to US to become huger
He didnt sell out any arena let alone stadium in the uk,cardiff wasnt a sell out it was 3 quarters empty. AJ doesnt have to go anywere he is the champ they should come to the uk.

You're well named.

"AJ doesn't have to go anywhere" "AJ sells out Stadiums so he must be better than Lewis"

Anyway fool can you tell me were i have said AJ is better than lewis??
Dont pop your head into a convo and start calling people out on things they havent said,i like lewis and rate him very highly as a fighter,he would blast every guy out in the modern era imo, either that or give them all a boxing lesson. What im talking about on this thread is that lewis constantly slates AJ for not going the states not fighting certain fighters when lewis knows the business end of boxing and knows that fighters would fight each other for free if push comes to shove and thats why they have managers and promoters.

You can go about your day now and consider yourself told :TU:

Utter bollocks
He's not totally unknown, but he is lesser known. My casual friends don't know who he is, but now they know Tyson Fury. They barely know Deontay Wilder. AJ would do himself a service by defending in the states.
