Anthony Joshua’s World Heavyweight title clash with Jarrell Miller at Madison Square Garden is already the hottest ticket in New York after becoming the highest grossing pre-sale for a boxing event at the famous arena.

Joshua defends his WBA Super, IBF, WBO and IBO crowns against Miller on June 1 in the Big Apple, live on DAZN in the US and on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK – and fight fans showed their appetite to see the Briton make his American debut in the backyard of the unbeaten Brooklynite, breaking the highest grossing pre-sale in MSG boxing history inside two hours of the midday on-sale.

Tickets go on general sale at midday on Tuesday February 19 following Monday’s pre-sale for Matchroom Fight Pass members, and fans hoping to snap up the chance to see the World’s premier Heavyweight lock horns with the dangerous ‘Big Baby’ should move fast on Tuesday to avoid missing out on this blockbuster night.

“We know that AJ is a huge box office hit in the UK but to break the pre-sale record at the iconic Madison Square Garden is astounding,” said promoter Eddie Hearn. “We are building a huge event on June 1 and we look forward to the all the build-up beginning with next Tuesdays press conference in New York.”

“We are thrilled with the early excitement for tickets,” said Joel Fisher, executive vice president, MSG Marquee Events. “Anthony Joshua versus Jarrell Miller will be an epic event at Madison Square Garden and we encourage fans to purchase tickets now because this fight will sell out.”

Personally I think it's a brilliant piece of work, on paper Miller is tailor made for Joshua to look like the most destructive heavyweight on the planet, slow, leaden footed, and predictable, of course we've seen other heavyweight champs come unstuck, but Joshua seems very committed to coming into every fight in great shape, and he should go through Miller like , well, Miller, going through a box of krispy kremes.

You’re right. AJ is not a one punch KO artist.

He generally works his opponents down.

Totally agree with you. This guy has fought absolutely nobody, it's an embarrassing fight. The build up will make out Miller to be the greatest thing since Mike Tyson. No stone will be left unturned to sell and fool the masses.

He'll get battered inside 4 rounds, Miller has fought absolutely nobody, and Joshua certainly hit harder than anybody else he has fought.

Absolutely it is. It is also called having to take the only fight available which makes even a small bit of sense at the moment.

I am not interested because I have fallen off the hype train and fed up with AJ and Hearn and would just like to see them get what would be, for me personally, their comeuppance.

I will tell you what, if AJ takes a couple L's and struggling to get back to the top, Matchroom could be in a lot of trouble with all the alternatives and other platforms. They no longer have a monopoly and are no longer the only viable option for boxers.

its true ......aj has been moved the most ambtously of anyone at hw. remember fury and wlder have been pro 2x as long! thats 5 years more. wlder ddnt even fght for the tltle vs stiverne until hs 7th year pro . ajs has been pro only a few months over 5 years
