Joe Frazier vs. Sonny Liston
I think this would be a great slugfest to watch. Who wins?
the one most effective weapon against Frazier was the right uppercut and that's a punch Liston didn't really have. He was a smarter fighter than given credit for, though, and it's hard to believe he wouldn't have worked on it. Plus, as others here have said, to come at him in his prime (and how many of us really saw him then?) was an invitation to end up in traction. Liston by a kayo. Shorter and at least as powerful a left hook, and harder to counter with an inside punch.
I figured some of you would compare a Liston-Frazier matchup to the Foreman-Frazier fight. That result would not be repeated in this scenario. First of all, Foreman pushed Joe away, a tactic which was illegal and would not be allowed in most other circumstances. Secondly, the uppercut is the weapon of record which Foreman used against Joe. Big George has outstanding uppercuts, Liston didn't.
Frazier would get inside the jab of Liston and work the body & head. He would be busier than Sonny, and be able to take control. I score a KO for Smokin Joe.

Joe Frazier v Sonny Liston
THe fact that dear old Joe was a slow starter would have proved fatal, when combined with the fact that he got caught early in fights, until he got he head movement going.
Talk about styles making fights, Liston KO 1.

:x ARGHHH!!!!! Whenever Frazier faces a hard puncher in a hypothetical fight, everyone always instnatly shouts "It would be like Foreman-Frazier!". Frazier lost so badly to Foreman because STYLES MAKE FIGHTS. Because Frazier lost to Foreman, he therefore loses to everyone else in the same way? NOOOOOOO!!!! It's just friggin' not true. Foreman was a much faster starter than Liston, and had some of the best uppercuts of anyone ever. Both of those things were stylistic traits that made Foreman perfet for beating Frazier. Liston DID NOT HAVE THESE TRAITS. Frazier would wear Liston down and knock him out in 10.
