Miller vs AJ
Pulev vs Dinu
Ortiz vs Whyte
Breazeale vs Wilder
Kownacki vs Rivas
Ortiz vs Whyte: I think it would be a very competitive fight that could go either way. Both guys have flaws and although Ortiz is the superior tactician, his age would even up the outcome. Result: Whyte outlasts Ortiz by close decision.
Kownacki vs Rivas: While I've followed Rivas for years now, he's is a rather inactive fighter who relies more on his power than boxing, seemingly waiting for the right moment to open up on an opponent and take them out. Kownacki is a swarmer who is maybe the most active HW I've seen in years. The interesting thing would be how Rivas would react to being forced to exchange and not setting the slow pace he seems to be comfortable with. On the other hand, Kownacki is rather easy to hit, as he sits in the pocket and throws a lot of punches, but makes himself vulnerable to taking it back. Washington, while being demolished, was able to open up a nasty gash on Kownacki's eye. I can see this one going either way, but I'd have to lean towards Kownacki, who I love to watch, but don't rate as a top hw. Result: Kownacki by razer thin decision.
Additions? Alternatives? How about picking all the winners and setting up a next round of fights??? A bit of fun.
Guess I was a bit bored this morning.
