What a strange environment to be in where people watching are more offended than the actual people involved. Can internet people sue for merely getting upset in the future? Don't count on it.
When it comes to political correctness in general, I can see your point. Social justice warriors, activists, academic liberals and millennials are all far too easily offended for others so-called “plights”.
And their voices are nearly always heard above all others. It’s a sad case of the tail wagging the dog sometimes, with their minority opinions often resulting in new legislation or new social rules that override the thoughts of the mainstream masses.
However, the thing is, we don’t know if Jenny Sushe was offended, due to the environment in which the incident took place, she could have been hiding her feelings... and I wouldn't have blamed her if she did. We do know that she was shocked and uncomfortable though, by describing the kiss as “embarrassing” and “strange”. Her instant reaction was to shout “Jesus Christ!”
Anyway, it’s more about Pulev doing something deeply inappropriate to a person he didn't really know, without her consent, which was something she was unable to prevent.
Personally-speaking, I try to show empathy by imagining how I’d react if I saw this happen to a female I was close to (i.e. daughter, sister, wife etc.), with the incident occurring in their workplace and I was standing in close proximity.
