My understanding is GGG lives the life of an athlete.
He stays in shape 365 days a year not just when he is in training camp which means he always near his fighting weight.

Most Olympians do. It’s a very good thing. Like Wlad.Perseus wrote: ↑29 Mar 2019, 19:28My understanding is GGG lives the life of an athlete.

the problem is that just week later, Głowacki will face Briedis in Riga, Szeremeta and Głowacki have the same trainer. Also, trainer Fiodor Łapin wants Szeremeta to fight 1-2 times more vs B level opponents rather than moving from C level to A level fights. Szeremeta was also offered to fight Charlo.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑29 Mar 2019, 09:07 WBA ranking

There's plenty of names they could have picked, Should have just foughtKamil Szeremeta
He has no time for the soft fights.apollo creed wrote: ↑30 Mar 2019, 06:47 Yeah 37 y/o GGG should fight Godzilla after 7-8 months of layoff. Last fight with Canelo was very tough. GGG needs to have at least one soft fight to get in that top shape.![]()
Nobody knows better than GGG how much time he has left.ValMar wrote: ↑30 Mar 2019, 07:52He has no time for the soft fights.apollo creed wrote: ↑30 Mar 2019, 06:47 Yeah 37 y/o GGG should fight Godzilla after 7-8 months of layoff. It could happen. Andrade for the wbo is one of them.SenorPipino wrote: ↑30 Mar 2019, 09:16 Golovkin will continue to take only soft fights so as not to jeopardize a cash out third fight against Canelo.
DAZN aren't going to take stupid risks on their major investments, nor should they. They only need to start recouping and they will - soon enough.apollo creed wrote: ↑30 Mar 2019, 06:47 Yeah 37 y/o GGG should fight Godzilla after 7-8 months of layoff. Corrupt judges broke his dreams of becoming an undisputed champ and breaking Bernard's record. So now it is just about making money for him. If DAZN allows soft opponents, he will fight them.ValMar wrote: ↑30 Mar 2019, 07:52He has no time for the soft fights.apollo creed wrote: ↑30 Mar 2019, 06:47 Yeah 37 y/o GGG should fight Godzilla after 7-8 months of layoff. No, Andrade is Canelo's opponent in September to unify the middleweight title.apollo creed wrote: ↑30 Mar 2019, 10:06It could happen. They’reprobably Just finalising a few bits.apollo creed wrote: ↑31 Mar 2019, 06:15 The problem is I see no schedule on boxrec about this fight. Maybe it's just a rumour.![]()
caldo2025 wrote: ↑31 Mar 2019, 07:21 Typically when these dual main events consisting of same weight division are scheduled, it’s an attempt to Juice the prospects of the winners fighting each other. GGG vs Andrade would be a great fight but all wrong for GGG. I hope this doesn’t happen as a GGG fan because Andrade is nasty slick and primed. Could be an embarrassing proposal.
It doesn't matter whether we want to see it or not - barring a miracle it's going to happen. Far, far too much money riding on it.
Or Canelo might just pound out Jacobs because he's better.Thomastearns wrote: ↑31 Mar 2019, 09:35It doesn't matter whether we want to see it or not - barring a miracle it's going to happen. Far, far too much money riding on it.
GGG is expected to walk through his opponent without too much trouble and Canelo is fighting in his back yard once more.
To win at the T Mobile, Las Vegas, Danny will need to stop Canelo or win by an even bigger margin than GGG did first fight. A huge ask for Jacobs who will need the performance of his career to take Alvarez apart on May 5th.
You can bet the Canelo cartel have the odds calculated down to the hundredth percentile point. This includes the opponent, the date, the venue, the referee, the judges and plenty more we will never know.
Business as usual in Sin City.
I think that Canelo is really better than Jacobs. I think that Canelo will have help by "cartel" too. It will be very difficult for Jacobs to win, very, very difficult..............SenorPipino wrote: ↑31 Mar 2019, 09:56Or Canelo might just pound out Jacobs because he's better.Thomastearns wrote: ↑31 Mar 2019, 09:35It doesn't matter whether we want to see it or not - barring a miracle it's going to happen. He usually is, with or without the help of some fantasy cartel.
