Just watched round 6 in isolation.
Anyone who thinks Fitzgerald won round 6 really needs to go and find another hobby. The punchline was at the end of the round Froch says in his commentary "Fitzgerald is just busier", despite throwing and more importantly landing next to nothing.
If you keep whinging on here, do you think the decision might get reversed?
Yes.
He probably just wants people to agree with him. That might make him happy.
Probably not - although I'd prefer better quality posters on here. Very few folk post much in the way of substance with regards to scoring. Like i said before I'll happily rewatch and rescore any round in isolation.
What would your prediction be if Fowler fought Canelo or GGG, just curious?
Bizarre stuff really. Fowler gets a 9.75 for r9 which was verygng on a 10-8 round? Most users gave Fitz r6 which was a clear Fowler round?
That was just 8 users..
The other table I posted was from 140 users..
In all honesty, I'm past caring about this fight now. The wider problem is folk that score rounds based on what they hear in commentary as oppose to what they see in the ring. Round 6 in this fight is a great example, Fowler clearly won the round but the narrative from Smith & Froch was that there was a turning tide - hence why your aggregate shows 10-9 in favour of the wrong guy.

So why did Fowler say he lost? Was he listening to Smith & Froch as well?

What difference does that make? So he decided to be dignified about it, doesn't change how the mid-rounds were scored, does it? Bitching afterwards rarely plays well from a PR persepcctive, it lost Marquez alot of fans. David Haye became an international joke given how he reacted to his losses.

What if everyone that scored it, without any sound?

Then fair enough but I'd like to hear the justification for a guy winning the round in which he threw less, landed less, and got hit with the most eye-catching shots too.

You can't score a fight without sound.
How can you tell if the shot was a powerful one without the "thwack!"
And you can mostly tell by the sound if it hits glove or skin.

Not really.. not always. Some boxers add their own sound effects anyway when throwing shots.

depends, a lot of the time the sound on tv doesnt give that good of an idea, and a blocked shot can give of pretty 'impressive' sound too
i think the most accurate way to judge a fight would be with only the fight sounds, but that is next to impossible. i think sound off is the next best.

I had Fitzgerald winning the fight by one point.
Really close fight for me with the knockdown being the deciding factor.
Exactly as I saw it. Fowler by one going into final round.
