Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - TBA
If true Yarde and team would be a fool to turn down that sort of money.

Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - TBA
If they think can win or compete well they should stick him in.
Also if they feel Yarde has reached his peak, they should stick him in.
If they feel Yarde can improve a good bit it would be better to wait for this and he can earn his money down the line.
They fact that they are talking about Russia shows that his team don't think he can win.
As with Hatton, if FW believed in Yarde, he would pay over the top to get the fight at home.

Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - TBA
4.2m is way to good to turn down if true, even a lot of the times established world champs never make that there whole career combined
yarde could get ktfo in 30 seconds and his career will still have been a financial success

Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - TBA
Don't understand why anyone would pay 4.2mil for Yarde. Where is the return at this stage? Sounds like bull.
Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - TBA
If that's the figure he should bite their hand, doesn't matter who or where you fighting.
That's huge money when you think Fielding got $1m, Crolla $250k and Welbourn $20k

This Tunde guy is thick as sh*t
Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - TBA
its like hes some sort of parody or something
Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - TBA
Perfectly summed up. I think Yarde can win but as much based on the fact that I believe Kovalev is ready to be taken out. Doesn’t mean Yarde is good enough to do this though.Coco wrote: ↑15 Apr 2019, 11:41 If they think can win or compete well they should stick him in.

Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - TBA
Yarde HAS to take this if even 1/4 of that offer is true.
Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - TBA
I think I agree. Yarde should roll the dice. I think even if he loses his stock will rise.

Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - TBA
Tunde MUST be a troll.
I would say that in an ideal world one would want a few more tough, higher level contests before taking on Kovalev, however here we are. They have gotten into Mandatory position and I think the best thing to do is get the best money possible as an away fighter and take the chance. Kovalev has certainly begun to decline and Yarde is still a baby so has time to go again should he be defeated.

Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde terms agreed
The purse bid for the WBO light heavyweight title fight between champion Sergey Kovalev and mandatory challenger Anthony Yarde has been canceled, as the terms for the fight have been agreed on, according to World Boxing Organization president Paco Valcarcel.
Kovalev (33-3-1, 28 KOs) will be defending his WBO 175 lb title in Russia against his unbeaten mandatory challenger Yarde (18-0, 17 KOs). The news announcement for the Kovalev-Yarde fight is expected to take place next week by Yarde’s promoter allegedly. The date the venue will be determined shortly.
“We’re towards the end of negotiations and I think we’ll have something to announce within the next week or so,” Warren said to Talksport.com.
Yarde’s manager Tunde Ajayi has recently been talking about wanting the Kovalev fight in the UK. It looks like Ajayi won’t be getting the wish. Had it gone to a purse bid, Kovalev’s promoters at Top Rank likely would have won the bid, and they would stage the fight in Russia. If Yarde chose not to take the fight, he could drop out, lose his ranking, and would need to start all over again in trying to work his way to a mandatory position.

Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - TBA
either yardes legit and gives a good show, or he gets ktfo and we get to schcrenfraud tunde etc. it will end well either way
Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - TBA
Hope Yarde gives a good account of himself, although he’ll obviously have to stop Kovalev in order to win...

Believe it when it happens
Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - TBA
Tunde is embarassing
What sane man would entertain this dinlo
Nothing more embarassing than a trainer who goes out of his way to try& make himself look better than the fighter

Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - TBA
I appreciate this is a silly comment or way to feel, but due to Tunde, I want to see Yarde smashed. I just do not want that Tunde to be proven right or have any justification for the lunacy of his words. That interview in NY is frankly insane.
Re: Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde - TBA
He’s either a brilliant troll or a complete head banger.
There’s nobody now left he’s not abused on video - he’s making himself really unpopular and I can’t see fighters queuing at his door anytime soon.
Yarde looks his meal ticket.
