Just noticed Jermaine Franklin is fighting Booker on Saturday. Anyone know why Booker was inactive from 2004 to 2018?

He was sentenced to 12 to 30 years in prison. Under Michigan law, Rydell cannot apply for parole until he has served at least twelve years. Not a lot of footage out there, unfortunately. He is small and usually a bit 'puffy.' Moves well, but doesn't hit very hard, so it'll be interesting to see how an undersized Franklin makes any moves up the rungs. Booker is a bit of a test for him without presenting too much of a risk. What is he like 3 or 4-0 since coming out of prison?

Franklin did nothing to prove he is a fighter on the move or will be in the future. For the first couple of rounds, when Booker was willing to fight, Franklin took a lot of shots and looked ordinary at best the rest of the sleeper of a HW bout. He never had Booker in any kind of trouble and showed no defense or power. No need to track Franklin unless he's put in as fodder for a prospect.

That's perfect. Yes. Except that Allen never really has a proper training camp, until this fight with Browne.
