Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
ya thats what happens when your not disciplined and cant stay in shape between fights. you get a big money offer, 3 belts, s the top hw that you say you want so bad, but then you have to turn it down cus your fat and outta shape. in luis case i mean how much time does he have left anyway
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
Professional fighting is a full time job, stay fit, stay sharp & if a fight like this comes along, unless your seriously injured, take it,no???
They are heavyweights not lightweights, some fighters would love a chance to fight aj but would never get the shot, those that are getting a call are f***ing it off
Don't become a pro fighter if your not ready for the big chances it's quite simple
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
Any of those potential challengers that turn this down due to lack of prep time are giving off a glaring signal that they are likely dirty too. No time to cycle on/off before due date. Jokers.
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
Yup,its all a f***ing mess
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
Not necessarily. It's just under seven weeks to fight time. Using that as leverage to say 'we can't be ready by then' in order to squeeze out more pay is my thought.

Wouldn't it be the exact opposite of that?
They would juice like the nuts out of competition, when not as likely to be tested, then be off in the run-up to a fight,
So they are currently out of competition and so juicing now, sign for the fight and they would be stopping anyway and as the fight is so close would get the benefits for most of the camp and up to the fight.

As already been said, 7 weeks should be plenty of time for a professional boxer to be ready to fight. On top of that the money you'd get from fighting Joshua must be close to be a career highest. It's a no brainier
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
ya ppl already responded to you mate, for a dedicated pro 6-7 weeks of hard camp after staying in the gym is decent. a guy turning this down should never complain that the top guys ducked him or anything like that. pay bound to be very good too, a guy like ortiz has never made more then 500k i dont think
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
I reckon Hunter could do quite well against Joshua, even though he's not a name.
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
What really makes me go "hmmm" is that VADA took four weeks to announce the test results. That really caused a larger mess as the timeline to get a replacement would've been way easier 3 or 4 weeks ago.
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
They could sign tomorrow, get tested the same day and piss hot.tobyh5 wrote: ↑18 Apr 2019, 11:35 Wouldn't it be the exact opposite of that?

I think the testing process has a lot of red tape mate, so from collecting the sample to testing and finally announcing it can be a long process
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
Obviously. They took 4 weeks from the time the result was known is what I heard. Just saying.kbackup408 wrote: ↑18 Apr 2019, 12:19 I think the testing process has a lot of red tape mate, so from collecting the sample to testing and finally announcing it can be a long process

Step forward Tyson Fury, a fighting man, who will fight anyone, anywhere and doesn't need the money as he is already a millionaire. He'll fight Josh in a car park for a pint of shandy and some pork scratchings.

If Fury stepped up for the going rate, would AJ take it?
Re: Jarell Miller stand-in: who would you prefer?
They would piss clean for many substances in a day or two. A week would see them piss clean for most things. So the clock started a day ago already when they knew they may be in the hot seat ( when miller failed) and come straight off, start negotiating but take a couple days and they’ll be fine.

I voted for Ortiz, since he is basically running out of time, since he is around 40 years of age.
Plus he would be a good match-up for Joshua! I'd give it a 65%-35% that Joshua wins though.
